  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

That contraband looks very familiar :innocent:.

Bracket supports for the cone, i don't have them so mine just kinda dangles - where have they come from......please enlighten me ?

They are in the apexi intake kit, but it would be cheaper to just get 3mm steel and put two bends in and bolt in...

If you wanted I could make up a template, or maybe I will not need mine anymore because I will be going selling in the future.

I've looked at mine and yes it's easy to put some bends in some steel, i shall do it when it all goes back together, thank you for the info that it comes in a kit, i hate it when someone has something like that and i don't !!

Came with the kit Andy, mind you after paying, duties and DHL wanting some more, they should be bloody gold plated!

Woke up to phone calls from the seller of my SWB saying that my transporter had not turns up and he had turned his phone off. What a stitch up. Managed to find another guy in Bournemouth who previously owned a Zed and he gave me a decent price for the 300m round trip so the SWB is finally on route to Salisbury tonight!! Going to go have a proper check over it tomorrow and start planning

Finished the other bit?

Finished the other bit?

Just the wiring, but i have no idea what im doing so im waiting for a reply from Lee, buts its on the backburner for now.

Today I installed the UK dials I received from Dan. I decided to swap over the white casing and the clear plastic screen (for use of a better word) as my JDM one was in better condition. That way I also keep the white led illumination.

Here is a picture before.

And here’s a picture after.

I was pleasantly surprised that swapping the dials went without a problem. First time in a while I’ve been able to say that about my Zed. Then again, I’ve had a bit of practice!

Really nice !! Are you going to plumb in the boost gage?

The car is a NA so the boost gauge isn't going to be doing anything, at least not for the foreseeable.

With a bit of luck the next one will be a TT, although there's no telling when that will be :innocent:

Cool, where did you get that little lot from bud??

The plenum cover and rad cover came from the US, the rad panel from the bay of E, and the boost pipes I made some years ago.

Carbon rad cover is ace, can you remember which company and how much please mate (if you don't mind sharing).

Fuel level discrepancy!

Well spotted.

The first picture was taken a couple of weeks ago as I didn't bother to take a picture yesterday, before I started taking things apart. I put that picture up just to show how it looked.

When swapping the dials I decided to keep the original JDM fuel gauge, as I wasn't sure if the UK one would correct itself and they had the same part numbers. Seemed the safest way to ensure a correct reading.

I've just noticed your original clocks and the mileage, your Z has only done 47,000km? When I swapped mine out for a UK cluster, I clocked the odometer to match the mileage in miles. You should do it before the next MOT really as otherwise the cars history will start to look sketchy! I took date stamped photos of the 2 clusters next to each other in the car, before and after for my history documentation.

You just reminded me, my last MOT the tester put down the mileage as 508,514 miles  Will call DVSA see if they can alter it. I've only done ~400 miles since.
