  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Body shop have finally made progress on my Z. Excuse the quality of photo, the arch is in filler and being smoothed so had to take a photo of a photo from the fellas phone.. [emoji849]

Took mine for a short run to Sainsburys and back - and then spent about an hour trying to locate exactly where the coolant is leaking from......

.....But without removing the under-tray I still cannot see. I stopped off at my local garage and they will have another look on Tuesday. Common consensus so far is the radiator - so any suggestions on where to get one for a TT auto? I don't want to buy one for a manual and then have to worry about plumbing in another auto-box oil cooler?

Hi Richard

I have a std tt Auto rad somewhere in my stash if you need one.

Tested out the new dual action polisher and maguiares compound and wax and also a clay bar on the front of the car as I am having a pricing for the respect work done tomorrow. Amazing results I think for an old girl, well impressed...

Spent about 14 hours last night, changing my cam belt, replacing all pulleys, changed water pump, a VTC gear, VTC springs and few other misc items.

Mainly giving my engine bay a good scrub while all stripped down. Ill give you a before and after now, although i didn't take many photos when it was rather crappy as its nothing to be proud of.

OK so I missed Beaulieu but i spent the day sorting the Z out..

No more tweed!!

But i still spy tweed door cards!

Anyway, when i went to see you the other day, I was going to say the exterior looks great, but you got nasty tweed in it. Glad you've brought the interior up to par with the exterior.

Had a package delivery today! The fitment is near flawless!

Great stuff a type 3 twin z spoiler. Im fancying one of these for my white zed so waiting to see your painted before i order mine.

I think you best get to the opticians Ali... You don't spy any tweed.. It's alcantara on the door cards lol..

I'm leaving the door cards off until I've finished the speaker pods, but worry not.. The door cards will soon match the interior.. :cool3:

Mine will also be in white so you'll have a perfect test rabbit :thumbup1:

Lots of progress pics please. Dont suppose you got the matching roof spoiler too ?

I will post as a lot and maybe start a thread to post up the progress of the whole body change. I didn't get the roof spoiler. But in hein-sight I wish I did.. May try see if I can find one knocking about in the UK

I learned (as I suspected) that my water leak was attributable to the radiator....!

After a bit of research, I decided to take my chances and buy from here http://www.fastrads.co.uk/partfinder/?id=1&manuid=64&manu=Nissan&model=300%20ZX&transmission=Automatic&year=1994&doors=3&trim=Standard%20Trim&ModelType=&engine=3.0&varient=3.0%20V6%20Targa%203d%20Auto

a brand new (albeit pattern) replacement for just £143 delivered. I did ask the question - several times - about whether it was specifically for an auto, so let's see what arrives. It's being delivered to my local garage tomorrow...:clover:

A big thanks to everyone who offered me an auto-spec radiator; it's most appreciated guys:cool:

Why didnt you go for an uprated ally one Richard ?

I couldn't fine one for an auto - and didn't want to mess about having a separate transmission oil cooler plumbed in!
