  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

  • These parts turned up from Specialty-Z today. Last significant items for the "bolt on" build. I'll post some more pictures of all the stuff I have collected over the years (literally!) in the "Project

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Degreaser on a hot engine is a huge no-no!

I've cleaned my 2015 Peugeots engine bay, I've cleaned my 30-40 year old datsuns and both my z32's enginebays, basically every car I've ever owned have been washed.

I have never ever experienced any problems whatsoever.

I've only ever had trouble with one car washing its engine bay but that was an old rover sd1 V8 and it was about as waterproof as a teabag.

Don't really know how to approach it with just rags and cleaner as there are so many parts that I wouldn't be able to get to. I think it'd look worse to be honest.

I personally wouldn't jet wash/steam/hose my engine.... Asking for trouble in my opinion.

Rags, abit of wd40 and some elbow grease for me!

Made all of it myself!

Ah man!!! They look much better than factory fit!! Any chance you've a spare few days coming up to knock out a set inc. box for me??:innocent::whistling:

Ha!! You didn't ask outright, you just queried if they were custom made:innocent::whistling::laugh:

Right decision time do I go with side mounts coolers or front mount image.jpg

I went with side mount as it was much simpler, no custom piping etc. (And a generous circumstance)

If you are using the stock side mounts do you want the impul side mount shrouds?

What ones are you talking about then as these came with them??

They are fibreglass ones that curve to fit the opening.

Alright then, mine are just solid pieces and not stapled together lol

The ones ted has are factory nissan ones.. Stapled together in 1990 at the nissan factory number X.

They've lasted pretty good for 26 years and those staples are still intact and doing their job!

They're also lighter than impul and fit perfectly..

I'd stick with the side mounts ted unless you're thinking of ramping up the bhp.. Far too much farting around with new IC hoses as Alic said..

The original hoses are bad enough to work around!

Seen your photos of the paintwork by the way amd she's looking great mate.. Can't wait to see it in the flesh sometime soon..

Just finished preparing the car for tomorrow's Japanese matsuri in Essex with Joelyp, Chrisbasildon and bedzeeman.. A few others too. In typical English tradition, once I've washed polished and waxed the car, or starts to spit with rain :censored:

She's looking.. Well, like this..

I feel your pain with the door handles ted, I had to take one off the breaker car the other day for someone who wanted it and I swore many many times.. I managed to remove the window motor mechanism for somebody too but I haven't heard back from them yet. Can't remember who it was that asked now but it was the guy that parked next to me in a red Z with bad paint fade.. If anyone remembers who it is, can you remind me please??

Finished the slam panel cover at last. Not completely pleased with it as it has some imperfections in the dipping but at least it's in place for tomorrow..

It's gonna look great once the rest of the bay is finished..

What dya think guys and gals?DSC_0267.jpg

I think we need to get the rest of the colours in (hardpipes, plenum etc.) But the design looks nice
