  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Wooo i recognise that clutch! It's good for 600plus Bhp and I'm of memory here over 700 lflb of toque, same as mine:) it's a damn good clutch, very light and responsive and no clutch judder on take of ( well not on mine anyway) pulls Good from stand still, just remember to run it first before any aggression on fast starts:)

That's awesome feedback! Having this and a one piece prop fitted very soon :)

After a 300 mile round trip to Cardiff last weekend - and then using the Zed all week because I could not be arsed to move the SLK out of the garage - it was looking a little dirty. So I have just given it a good wash and popped it back in the garage once more...

And just for the hell of it, here's a couple of pics of my Zed outside our hotel.....

Looking through a box of Zed parts I came across thisimage.jpg

Vaguely remember buying it off of Danny, so 10 mins later it was on the car.

Nice one Andy....thanks man...

Got a full day in the garage whilst the wife is in London with the 2 youngest, and the other two kids were in nursery.

So got front calipers on, new brake pipes fitted at the front, and all bled.

Wheels on, battery in, and started for the first time since November.

bit dusty:

Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. (owned 2020 - now)

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

I upgraded to 350z track edition rotors and new pads.

Are these a straight swap over for standards spiff? Or have you upgraded the calipers etc..

Looking to do something with mine as they get hot real quick. Not sure wether to fit grooved and drilled original discs or upgrade to the brembos.. Money is the only stumbling block though.. Brembos are $$$..

I haven't looked in to the 350 Z discs, I'm running 18" wheels so I've got a little room to play with.

Straight swap as long as you get the caliper adapter seen to the left of the rotor. I bought mine at concept Z performance. The rotors and pads I bought at rockauto.com as I was ordering some other parts there too

Nice upgrade over stock, can definitely feel I'm being pushed out of my seat now.

I also have steel braided brake lines waiting to go on.

Thought about doing stuff to it but ate a subway instead.

Hahahaha! Same with me. I have a nice freshly powdercoated fuel line, new OEM bolts and new OEM rubber hoses to go on - but my motivation is lacking today!

Back to Keith's today to check over the paintwork... Tidied up a couple of bits:)

Your car is looking fantastic there Coops.....:bow:

Me? As it was sunny this morning, I took the Zed on my visit to Sainsbury's...... Then put it back into the garage when I got home. I was debating whether to replace the front brake pads myself, or book it into my local garage in the week. And, simple as it might be, I just can't be bothered with DIY mechanic work; so garage it is...

But I wasn't so lacking in motivation for car-related things - as I washed my SLK and gave it a coat of Valet Pro Beading Marvellous wax.... I can highly recommend the stuff!!

Drove past it twice on way two and from work, looked at it floating on the stands. Won't be touching it this weekend though, way too busy.

10 points if you can tell me what I finally did today...

Targa drains!

Bingo! And damn was that awkward!

Back and neck were killing me after. Whole fuse box unplugged and pulled out just to slip the pipe back in and cable tie it for good measure.

Exactly what I did last year.... Horrible job!

Stripped most of my interior ready for the body repairs. Found more then I bargained for... I can put my hand through the floor!! Now I'm struggling to justify to myself how much I'm about to spend of this...

cheared myself up by trial fitting my skirts... Goes to our bodyshop Tuesday for the next month they've got their work cutout

Wondering how I'll cope without it for so long as its going to jimmer after that lol...

For a genuine TT slicktop, I wouldn't even think twice!
