  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Not today, but yesterday put in a cone air filter from Z Centre :)

Took for a drive. Can hear the air flow into the turbos more (I think, maybe my turbos are f*****..)

The only thing you're likely to hear is wastegate chatter.

A couple pops and twangs out the exhaust, which gave me a warm tingle inside.

I think I'm in need of a tune soon. Have put in larger SMiCs a couple weeks back and now the filter too.

Going to give a service and then it'll be next on my list I think.

Just an observation ted, but those skirts are a little long for that car aren't they? Lol

Have a tune when you up the boost, not really worth it with SMICs which don't aid performance as such. The performance increase will come from increased boost. SMICs and the tune are the supporting modifications for that.

Didn't really do a test drive yesterday but feels like my turbo lag may have increased a bit. Need another test to confirm. My goal is only 400-450 bhp at the moment

Omg that just made my day ted!

All you need now is the big spoiler and a big set of wheels on the back..

Muchhhhhhh, better. Watch a few YouTube tutorials on wet sanding of it worries you. I was really apprehensive about it myself but as long as you follow the grades and stick at it it comes up great. Just a touch scary that first grit.

Received my black strip for under my rear spoiler today... Fitted it and didn't like it so I removed it. It looked so different and I just wasn't sure on it.

Which strip you talking about coopd? The perspex one on the boot hatch under the spoiler or is this a different one? I'm after a perspex strip as mine is cracked..

Mines a series 1 vinyl strip... I think the perspex was for series 2 spoilers and onwards

I believe it's when you have the spoiler lip, you can get a vinyl black strip ontop like

That's quite odd cos mine is a series one car and it has the perspex strip. We are talking about the same thing here aren't we? In Alics photo it's the black strip under the spoiler with the nissan on the left and twin turbo on the right?

Really, I'm shocked about that. I feel it makes the back look finished. Whenever I see the 89 spoiler without it I think it looks unfinished. It completes the lozenge shape.

No. If you don't have the 89 spoiler, the little flat one that's moulded into the hatch then you will have the Perspex strip that mounts in. If you do have it the spoiler covers that area and even affixes there, then there's a vynal sticker that goes on the bottom to create the same lozenge effect that the strip creates.

Tbh, I was shocked too. I've always liked it on other peoples cars and was pretty excited when it came in time for japfest this weekend. I fitted it, which was a pain but I finally got it right, stood back and instantly felt the urge to remove it. In hindsight, I could have probably left it on and had another look this morning but I didn't want it to stick properly and potentially scratch or lift my new paint if I was going to take it off.

May change my mind in the future and get another but I don't think it'll be anytime soon. I really like the look of my car at the moment :)

Just also noticed... This thread is now on page 300!

Last week at the Preston meet Andy noticed that I was missing 2 clips on the back of my steering wheel & said he'd have a look if he had any spare. Just recieved them both in the post free of charge. Top bloke! Thanks again mate.

After the excitement of finding another Z today I decided to take mine for an ice cream tour.

And apparently a colour change.

It's a stage 3, not sure of Torque rating but rated up to 675bhp. I have a standard exedy clutch fitted at the moment and it's slipping all over the shop since my remap was done. No more slipping now! :)

Wooo i recognise that clutch! It's good for 600plus Bhp and I'm of memory here over 700 lflb of toque, same as mine:) it's a damn good clutch, very light and responsive and no clutch judder on take of ( well not on mine anyway) pulls Good from stand still, just remember to run it first before any aggression on fast starts:)

Big shout out to chap from silver zed at Brighton incarnation today , thanks for chat mate ! Nice to meet You .

Why did he have to ruin that S14
