  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

There's always some winter project or other with these cars!

My winter project, apart from the rear subframe renovation, might involve a revamped interior....

Really nice Si, looks great

Cheers Scott. God knows what she'll look like after driving to Newark in the rain tomorrow morning though! :(

I know someone who is good at interior's

Yeah, didn't he recently do the armrest and steering wheel refurb.........

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Well today I checked the transmission dipstick and found the level was perfect when cold..... start the car and she screams.... transmission is very noisy now from cold....

Tomorrow I am jacking her up again, dropping the transmission sump, checking the filter, replacing the o'ring on the filter and removing the cooler lines to check for any blockage.....

She looks sad sitting there on the driveway unable to go for a spin...... need to make her well again.....

I managed to get my car, nostrils, looking fairly nice for the jae.

Although I couldn't stay more than the Friday, I managed to get a nice photo of the Z as I was arriving.

Here's how nostrils looked on the day... DSC_0138.jpg

After my coolant hose let me down nearly a 1000 miles from home, I ordered a Z1 black hard pipe kit with black couplers and an OEM top rad hose. I fitted these today along with a brand new OEM viscous coupling and fan blade. Several coolant flushes to get all the tap water out that I had to use to get me home from France! Back to fighting fit, I also cleaned off a load of dead flies from some high speed motorway driving ready to take it back to the paint shop tomorrow for a full front end repaint [emoji15] again! [emoji34][emoji17]

Also, it may be useful for some to know that I think the catalyst or route cause of my coolant hose splitting/leaking was possibly my OEM radiator cap. I bought it new about 7 or 8 years ago but I think the relief pressure was no longer in spec causing a higher pressure. My coolant hoses, when up to operating temperature, were rock hard in comparison to Andrew G's Z with an OEM rad cap and also harder than Simon's Z with a NISMO rad cap rated to 1.6 bar.

I replaced the cap today for new OEM and now have a similarly supple hose to Andrew's.

Took some pics on the way back from JAE. It'll be looking different soon as there's a few imminent plans in the pipeline :)

As for me and my Zed.....

.....Nothing since Saturday; but on the way home from my holiday I passed the 100k (miles) milestone..... Then I gave it a good clean and returned it to my garage before the rain set in....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Embarrassingly, a full front end repaint! Front bumper, wings, bonnet and wing mirror shells; don't ask! [emoji1]

asking :) road rash from the euro trip?

Thanks mate, I will be making a thread soon. Just as soon as we have some half decent weather for me to take some pics :). LOTS to do to her yet, but I'm very happy with the car :)

Well from the day I collected Zebedee ive never been a fan of the large square type number plate on the font bumper so had always planned to replace it at some point.

Along comes JAE so I thought this would be a good event to change the plate and offer I little tribute to Mandy at the same time. So this is what I fitted.

Its subtle but says what I wanted it to.
