  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Ha!! yeah , it's pretty much like that at the moment:thumbdown: Anyone here with a good medical background as I might have a Kidney coming up for sale shortly!!:lol:

Back up to the mechanics today, turbos, intercoolers, Koyo Radiator and lights all taken down and shelved ready for fitting when she goes in on the 24th of August for 5 days of intense work:thumbup:. Took down the exhaust system and brought them home for Jay (Dutchgold), also found a full cream and tan interior that's brand new and never fitted, Had totally forgotten about these:biggrin: What are they worth??

Have 2 sets of brand new performance radiator hoses so will be letting one set go up for sale, they cost £96 from Z centre only last week!!

Forgot i had these,a vgc pair of indicators with the amber globes removed which i must of pulled out ages ago.

I drilled out for the small curb light 501 holder and fit back the crisp white bulb, in the main chamber i have a bright 80w cree projector bulb and these serve as my sidelights with a bright 3 smd yellow strip wrapped around it's base and this is switchback style indication.

Although i don't mind the aftermarket crystal ones i previously had and will keep hold of, they aren't universally loved, so these are fit now for a while and who knows forever, i want where i can to return things here and there to more OEM for the future appreciation of my car. And on looking at the pic you might think the door mirror is not very OEM with that indicator on it but i do own another mint pair of mirrors, this is what i shall do more of, is to have on the shelf factory 'spares' to be put on either by me or be sold in the boot if need be with the car.

I have to say Andy your car sounded awesome as you left mine the other day. You can hear those new turbos whistling nicely .

just failed for no fog lamp too, although after leaving the test centre I found the lighting strip in the centre of my boot lid has been wired as a fog light !! Only had the car 9 months in which we've not had fog..lol. He also failed me on the lights apparently are set up to shine right instead of left ? My adjuster on the off side won't bloody work to try and adjust them so suppose my only chance is by using headlamp reflective stickers, was a picky mot tester as failed due to 1 windscreen wiper not clearing water - f**k me it's a 25 year old car.. overall nothing bad but still a pain in the ass. . Any ideas where I put these bloody headlight stickers too ? The 300zx is not listed on the instructions..

Definitely an improvement over the crystal clusters, however the series 2 cluster lens' match the fog lamp lens' for the best look in my opinion.

Deleted the bailey dump valves. I was hoping I'd get a good rattle snake sound :no: a slight flutter, sounds rather boring. Back to the baileys it is.

I keep meaning to do a drive with the recircs deactivated, see if it does the...

"Wha-ta-ta-ta-ta-ssss!" Audi Quattro thing. I know it's a little bit damaging but it would be a giggle for a weekend. Do I just need to clamp the vac lines to the recircs???

I Spose that might work. As a see what happens for ten minutes. I had some spare bungs so just stuck them on where the baileys were. I didn't make much noise at all. Maybe with more boost...dunno. As I say the baileys sound more fun.

I think a think a lot of the noise comes from the pipework, it amplifies it. I noticed a lot more whooshing about after I fitted my dual MAF and hardpipes, I can only think it let twice as much noise out, stereo :)

When i purchased my car EL faces were fit on the clocks and there was an aftermarket steering wheel fitted so my OEM airbag was lost, as it's a turbo and a 1994 there was no boost gauge but i acquired one in another set of clocks and consequently got some bespoke MOMAN faces made up for the now 6 faces.

I replaced the steering wheel with one correct for the car many years ago and of course the airbag was back but not as yet plugged in, recently i fit the correct squib that would of been fit from new.

Brings me up to today where i finally fit the 'spare' clocks i had purchased about 4 months ago, plugged in the airbag and the horn.

So gone are my EL dials and all the fiddling that went with them and another return to a factory item, fitted with crisp white smd bulbs plus others that i spent a while on getting the best even colour and needle illumination - i love them.

I've got loads of parts lying around my games room and now no money to fit it all:thumbdown:

Looks great!

I've been wondering if there's an easy way to freshen up the look of my CAS, takes away from the nice clean plenum a bit.

Cas is easy

I sprayed mine up with some acid etch black to give a factory look, I replaced the screws and then re sprayed the connector hold down in silver

Looks pretty good, although I assume it came out first

Painted this today for Vig (sumshiftyguy) as one of his got damaged by a rogue stone!

Came out ok, unfortunately 2 small pin holes in the mould that didn't present themselves until after painting, but it came out reasonably well. Surprisingly hard to paint due to the angles and deep recess.
