  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

  • These parts turned up from Specialty-Z today. Last significant items for the "bolt on" build. I'll post some more pictures of all the stuff I have collected over the years (literally!) in the "Project

  • Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Glorious day today so I made even better my swage line switchback DRL's if you want me to call them that, no pics that's because I have a vid which will be for a thread at a later date.

Didn't take me too long as I had a bit of help .

DSC02683.jpg

fitted some rear brake disks and new rear pads, then wondered what this small metallic object was sticking out of my tire, went to remove it encase it got pushed in further, only for the air pressure in the tire to spit it out and deflate it self, so fitted my space saver and went and got a puncture repair as a short term solution, when i found the offending item, it was a 4 inch nail

Oh and found out the price of a puncture repair has gone up to £26 (fepping hek, what ever happened to a beer token puncture repair?)

Heavens above man £26.00 !!!!!! It's a fiver near me or was, expect now it might be £7.50 at the absolute max.

For what you paid I could get a 5mm part worn fitted and balanced with new valve .

Sorry to hear that Vods....

.....And to compare, I had a puncture repaired on the Merc whilst I was in Cornwall - HiQ in Bodmin - and it cost £16.95 including a re-balance......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Welcome to the chrome handle club Rich :thumbup1:

Cheers Gaz - I must have been off-form today as I had a couple of mis-haps whilst doing it. Firstly I forgot to re-connect the passenger electric window switch and had to remove the door card once again....

.....and then I dropped the little bolt that holds the upright panel to the door, inside the door itself - the bolt where you have to pop the little circle plate behind the window to access. I took off the door card again, but could not for the life of me see or get it back. I found another similar size screw in my tool box - and dropped that one as well....

Luckily I retrieved the new one and wrapped a bit of fuse wire round it to hold it in place until I had partially screwed it in!!!

Lol its all fiddly work fitting them Rich but you got there in the end.:hammer:

Yep - but all done now.....

....And I've had an idea about the little orange stickers that are visible when the car is unlocked - as I have a blue car I thought about painting the little squares in blue!! Julia has a nice bright blue nail varnish in her collection; perhaps I'll give it a try... On the car locking tab of course.....

Oh yeah Rich right . Handles look superb by the way .

I noticed that when my friend Ian brought his Z round the other day he had some stock fitted felt that covered the 2 x bolt covers in the handle so today I cut some up that was spare from the centre cubby and soon put that right sticking it down with double sided sticky tape - methinks not many knew that this felt should be here, I know I didn't .

That looks much better.

Mine certainly hasn't got any. I will rectify that when I get home.

What have I done today?...

Ordered far too many bits n bobs. lol.

Hid kit, LED's for cluster and pods, relays for HID kit diode mod and to solve the quick indicator flash.

Nice work guys I had so much planned for the zed this weekend but end up not getting anywhere near it  So busy where did the weekend go!

Get out of that Pub..........lol

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Today, I took my ZX on a 200 mile jaunt - up to Baddesley Clinton in Warwickshire; then after visiting the house and gardens, around some of the rural parts of the county..... Then back down to London to meet up with one of Julia's friends for late afternoon tea; and then home.....

Nice one Andy - I guess that most have come unstuck or been removed over the years when taking the doorcards off. Another great tip that I'm going to steal....

Get out of that Pub..........lol

I wish mate. Spent Friday rescuing my daughter who was 50 miles away at University and while there she drove up onto a curb and pulled the undertray of and damaged the radiator. So got the Mini back home after several stops to refill the radiator. Saturday I spent all day fixing the Mini. Sunday cut the grass and washed four cars (not the zed)Out with June shopping and visiting her Mum. Going to have a drink now lol
