Smart phones are ruining everything. What makes me laugh is people who sit on their sofa in their house in front of their 40" tv yet would rather watch a film or sport on their iPhone or iPad.. THESE PEOPLE DO EXIST and it just makes me laugh at them. Also people who are constantly glued to their mobile playing games and stuff when you are trying to have a conversation in the pub....it is ruining real-life interaction!

I got a decent phone but its not an all singing all dancing Samsung Galaxy S3 or anything because as a phone I dont want to carry around something the size of a ****ing breakfast tray. To me the whole idea of a phone is to call, text and check emails. The internet is crap on a mobile apart from maybe the Galaxy Note because it has a large screen...but why on earth someone would want a phone that size beggers belief to me. Plus the battery life is awful on them!

But yes in a nutshell I agree with you.... you cant beat using the internet on a PC in the traditional way! There can be no arguments for this! I myself own an iPad but I HATE typing replies on crappy touchscreen devices so I always use my laptop for that.

You could have a point Allan - lots of people use their smartphones for surfing the web now.... And let's be honest, whilst it is useful to be able to do it on the move, it's pretty crap if you want to post anything!!

Give me a good old fashioned PC to surf the 'net anytime!!

i was in a pub with friends last night and i did notice that for about ten mins no one spoke as they were checking facebook, and if you try and start speaking when they are checking then you are ignored, i have facebook and dont mind it at all but i refuse to sit in a pub with friends not speaking due to using my phhone lol

I know what you mean there Allan - and it is a sad indictment of today's society that even when people are out socialising, they cannot keep away from FB, Twitter etc. It's just fooking rude TBH; and it makes me want to snatch the phone off them and (a) drop it in their pint or (b) shove it up their arse!!!

Dont ruin a good pint Rich so shove it up their arse:pinch::lol:

I very seldom go on the fourm from my phone but when I do I never post due to the hassle of big fingers and small keyboard lol

PMSL ! :whistling:

My fingers resemble a really fat Richmonds link sausage !! So I sympathise !

Spelling mistake are my forty !

Did you se what I did their ? Eh ?

Alan.....

I am constantly glued to my phone or blackberry playbook but I'd much prefer a proper PC with a proper keyboard but mine is broken so I settle for what I can use!

I think technology itself is makin the population unsociable especially kids!! All they want to do is sit in front of a games console or have a games console or phone in their hands, I'm quite lucky that my boys are all more active and go out and do boyish things but my stepson is bored unless he has black ops playing on the PS3 or pokemon on his DS.

Dont see a problem my self, i have a Sony Xperia P, Samsung galaxy S2, iphone 4, iphone 3gs, and a Ipad, i find the Ipad the easiest to use on the web as the screen size, much easier when at work taking the ipad with me with a better option than dragging around a laptop and the battery life is actually astonishingly good.

Oh but when at home ill use my PC, which is set up so i can watch TV and use it at the same time lol

Ive been like that for a while now Ill constantly browse forums and surf things instantly when they spring to mind, so when I get in I rarely turn pc on now a days (message sent from pc lol)

I use my galaxy s3 for everything now, cant remember last time switched laptop on.

On my phone seems ok to write with.

Only difference I can go on the club any time instead of just evenings when home from work.

looks like we have conclusive proof Allan of your question and 2 things back this up

1..people do browse with there phones alot

2.. there seems to be a lot of members and users with fat fingers
