Gave up and just pulled it off and lost all my heater bars lol. I got most of it off then used ace tone to gt the rest off.

I found you never need the rear demisters when the window is re tinted

LOL - but I bet you kept sniffing it though Bri..... Just to confirm it smelt horrid!!!

I've not had to do it myself though mate. And don't worry if you can't get the heated rear window working again; just treat the glass with a good anti-mist solution (like the new Bluecol stuff - it actually DOES work) and be done with it....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I used a wallpaper stripper and a scraper probally a stanley blade, it's all hard work though.

Best to use a hot air gun to soften the glue, or a hair dryer.

Once hot, get a corner bit up and keep heating as you pull it.

Problem is, the slower you peel it, the more glue it leaves on the glass.

A lot easier and quicker with two people, one to heat and one to peel.

I always use graffiti remover. Just tear off what you can and use graffiti remover and a blade to get the rest.

Glue comes off really easy that way.

yep really easy , two things , a warm day , and a hot air gun, simply heat and peel , i did this and everything came off , no residue , and my rear heater bars remained intact

Have you removed the 300zx decal? I liked that.

yea that went with it Tom:death: but ime going black tint anyway so it could,nt be seen

I started, have some kind of clear tint on mine, its defo after market as they have used 3 strips to cover the screen, you are correct it stinks like shite, and yes Richard is correct too, you cant help but smell it more while trying to work out what flavour of dog food was used.

Gona get my back window tinted, think it'll look good when i spray the roof black

How much you been quoted so far, i got a quote for both quarter windows and my rear screen done professionally using one piece for the rear screen, £180

I need the rear doing now as my sides are done already. just ned to remove this clear crap and the glue first.

Ok Bri, let me know when you get a quote, I'll probably just go for the back window cus the rear passengers have a mesh finish on them, don't know if that can be removed.
