please help before i spend my money fof no reason? can someone tell me what the difference is from the gtr 33 clipers and the r33 calipers or are they the same? and what questions should i be asking them? i would like to up grade my existing front calipers. cheers and thanks for your help.

you need the GTR R33 calipers - non GTR are similar to stock Z32 ones

 

Z33 with brembo brakes are also a similar size to the GTR brakes (but use different offset discs to the GTR)

 

R34 GTR are also another option

ps - R33 GTR bolt straight on whereas Z33 brembos & R34 GTR brakes require the hubs drilling out as they use larger diameter bolts to hold the calipers on :)

how do i know im not buying non gtr calipers? are the disc smaller?

Sure the non gtr calipers look like our standard calipers, gtr have brembo on them

you would need to confirm with the seller - but they do look the same as my brakes which were GTR R33 brembos.

 

However there are many different brembos fitted to many makes & models of cars with different size/fitment so I wouldnt want to say for sure!!

if you google them you will see some drastic differences in the calliper looks wise, the brembo calliper is bigger and more solid looking for starts and there are different marking on them. make sure its off an r33 or 34 i nearly got stung like this the r32 gtr has near on the same breaks as us.

Ok again and plain and simple.

GTR brakes are often called simply just R, so your looking for Brembo's in Usually Black (sometimes Red) of an R33 (GTR) you must fit GTR discs which are 324mm, YES!

The whole lot just bolts on.

Should you see GOLD Brembo's they can be GTR34 or Z33 they simply require drilling 2 holes bigger by 2mm, simple and easy job. again fit the Skyline GTR discs 324mm if the calipers came from a GTR or if the calipers (Gold) came from a Z33 you MUST fit discs that fit a Z33 and again these are 324mm.

 

Questions to ask a seller, what make/model car did these come off? have you any discs to fit?

Overpriced but the only ones on Ebay i could find. IMO they are about a 100 quid too dear considering their condition.

Yea 2nds that z33 caliper bolts are expensive. Finally got front and rears fitted right.
