I had it years ago with a set of BK's that I bought direct from the manufacturer after using their own vehicle model/wheel fitment guide, the offset was wrong. I thought they'd just swap them for a set with the correct offset but they wouldn't and ended up sending a set of 3mm shims as 'a gesture of good will'.

I can't stand shims so looked at selling them on....unfortunately a kind hearted garage sold them on for me as they had a buyer lined up, then the garage went under...

See if the seller will exchange them, if not try them with good quality spacers and see how they feel. Very unlikely that you'll be using them at 150+ anyway I suppose

Yeah he said he will change them, or money back.

Just spoke to another company who have dare wheels look the same with more offsets available.

So I will see what wheels he has or what they say to do.

On a private rd of cause will allways use my zed for what it was built for speed:wink:

Still reckon his gonna sting me for postage,

And was just about to stick my bbs stickers on too

I'm sure they'll be fine mate, although these obviously aren't made by BBS and won't have been manufactured under licence a lot of these copy rims are made in the same factory (albeit by 5 year old orphans wearing sand bags for clothes and sandals made out of coke cans....but don't feel guilty because they're very grateful for there 13p at the end of the month) and unless there have been loads of complaints about rims cracking etc then I'm sure they'll be perfectly safe.......and if they do crack.....well just send little Joshi' another 13p and he'll ask his fat boss for permission to make you some more!

No seriously they look fine as they are mate, I'm not sure that you'll need anything in the centre to be honest

:rofl::rofl:

I said they needed spacers for the front mate:biggrin: buy a set of hubcentric spacers and it will improve the stance and clear the brakes:yes: They sit in to far at the front of a 300zx you need spacers Terry go for it:thumbup:

Found some of them bolt on spacers on eBay, under 300zx spacers what ones would be safest and best to buy cause don't think I'm gonna end up with a set that just fits lol.

There's a type where I can extend the wheel bolts, or ones with nuts that bolt to my hub and wheels to that.

Would it have to be 25mm each side or could I get away with say 15mm cause that's what one of them was listed at.

Any help appreciated.

You would need at least 20mm spacers I just measured mine with the 25mm spacers and it clears the brakes by 6 to 7 mm and as long as they are hubcentric spacers for 300zx fitment you wont go wrong.

Yeah there's a set 20mm and 25mm the 20mm has bolts u knock originals out and new bolts go through which are longer and 25mm has nuts u put it on hub and bolt it to it.

Just worried they may come loose behind the wheel am I worrying to bloody much and just get 25mm which bolts to it..

Cheers for looking for me seems 20mm then would only give me 1 to 2mm gap seems bloody close.

There et35 8.5 and 9.5j

And couldn't copy and paste image from eBay,

So nicked style of wheels from Google images but these in pic dont look to have has big dishes.

  • Author

Yeah just changed them for black centre chrome dish,

Only thing is there 8.5j and 9.5j et 35 are these buggers gonna stick out to much lol.

  • Author

No one prefer these oooh,

Someone make me feel better sending wheels I wanted back. If these f@#kers need spacers there's gonna be a fight lol.

  • Author

Yeah they were has close has they could get to the mesh style that will fit, I hope lol.

Went for black cause my car has black roof, etc.

I liked the originals with an alloy type satin finish with polished lips,

The all chrome ones he offered me looked really shiny all over.

Think the black will go better with my car

Still gutted though really don't wanna send others back.

The rears will fit perfect but the fronts would still benefit from spacers! Ideal offsets without arch work, IMO is front 8.5x18 or 19 et20 and rear 9.5x18 or 19 et35. I'm still surprised at how often offsets are thought of and considered after purchase. If it was me, I'd get a refund and do more homework, I'm not personally a fan of the wheels you have chosen although the important factor is whether you like them...

Think it's down to the wheel company's they seem to say et38 is right.

Most people proberly don't even know what the et is lol.

Long has they fit without doing damage to my car is more what I worry about.

Rather then if there flush, but would rather them sitting nice

Two wheel shops couldn't guarantee fitment when I started asking without trying them.

Thanks for advice,

Yeah true, very few mainstream wheel companies make a wide enough variation of offsets to get an 'ideal offset' for the zed. They cater for more popular models where the larger market exists.

Hi Terry, I have two sets of wheels, your more than welcome to come over and try them on your car to give you a better idea of what you need.
