also because its a 2 seater you will limit the buyers market again

Yeah i guess people want sports and family car together middle age crisis or something like that why dont they just get an Impreza wagon and be done with it.

because the zed looks better than an impreza and the lwb is best of both worlds

comments like this bug the hell out of me, we constantly complain that our cars are worth feck all, yet the moment people start trying to raise the bar we get comments to say they aint worth it???

so what is it? low sell cost or try and get the price increased?

Yes they are 20 year old cars, but far from a datsun, its a nissan through and through. a 240 is a datsun, a 300zx is a nissan and should be labeled as such. it never rolled out of the factory with a datsun badge so why label it as such.

SWB is a limited market, doesn't help with the cost of insurance for young people, it forces the sale into the market of those who do not have kids, or those who do have kids but they are old enough they have left home.

Add that to the fact its only February and people are still recovering from Christmas + high fuel costs plus lack of public awareness as to what car it is / performance it has, and people tend to stick to the more common type of 2 seater vehicles like the MX5 and the MG.

I think you missed the reference i was making in a bit of banter with Car Mad about them being shorties and therefore suggesting that shorties are worth more than LWB.

I think it is comments like these that are making this forum shit when people jump on what other people say and alot of it seems to come from the mods!

Mod or no mod I'm with Voddy on this!!

There's always threads popping up about a zed valuation!

The cars worth what you would pay for having it, if it's labeled as 7k and likely only worth 1 or 2 fair enough, there is chancers out there targeting the newbie class, but hopefully prices do go up as I'll start stock piling bits to sell laters.

Its a fair comment by Vodkashots and you are way off line saying the fourm is shite and then condem the mods for it:angry: Think you need to calm down a little.

I personaly do think that the SWB should be worth anymore than the LWB. I had a MR2 and i hated only having 2 seats.

ive been in a SWB and i also didnt like how the inside felt unfinsihed and i also think it looks to short. Thats what i like about the LWB so much is that the lenght matches the width and make its a big wide sports car.

So for me i will always pick a LWB enev though its only ever me in it. Is a SWB worth more than a LWB no i dont think so.

A zed is a zed and i love them all :)

think you need to go chill, that wasn't a direct insult to you, infect there was no insult in there, its a observation.

So, whos jumping the gun a bit? kettle pot black?

PS, i would of stated the same thing had i not been a MOD.

as said its feb mate, no money floating about times are hard for many. im just about hanging onto mine with the next few years its gonna be a fight keeping holda it fincially because of how i money needs to be spent. houses etc the general cost of living are a serious rape atm. when the economy starts to recover i think you will see prices rise also sports cars always sell far better in summer than winter. id love a swb tt manual but i already have a lwb tt that will soon be a manny so id end up loosing cash to "upgrade" no really a proposition atm lol

:cool2:the z offers much more as a car than a scoob wagon. speaking from experience as that was my last motor. the z is beautiful on the motorway the scoob was hell... the nissan lwb z offers best of both i feel. slightly lacking on the handling side ,but makes up for it with its grunt ,style, and the mpg is fantastic compared to the scoob.anyway you asked why woudn't i buy these....purely because they are swb and i've got 2 kids.

From our own experience, dealers offering warranty and some kind of finance options are getting strong prices, have seen at least three of these in the past few months with one new owner happy to pay upwards of £6k for a 91 TT, a very nice one I will add though, the more standard the zed the better chance of getting a good price, car pricing is very fickle and is difficult to guess.

Jeff TT

Seem like a steal to me at those prices why arent zeds selling or why would you not buy these?

Cos both of them have effectively no MOT,the first one has a half finished interior and the second one is a stupid colour and the seats are 'ucked.

I just think it's the wrong time of year to be selling a rear wheel drive performance motor. Would have thought they'd be snapped up in the summer.

I believe that the debate over long wheel base or short wheelbase is not relative, they are basically the same car, apart from 8",and any review from the motoring press favoured the longer wheel base,Nissan themselves admitted the longer version was the better handling of the both,And as to price wise the market is always up and down,up when I was looking for one , and down when I was trying to sell one, lol. It is down to how much you want to pay for a zed and what suits your needs. As the zed is my main car and I have a familly my needs are lwb ,but zed is a zed.And it is us the the enthusiasts who knows what the true value of these cars as we are the ones who love them

No offense, but where did you get this rubbish from ?

UK reviews only covered the LWB since the SWB was never available, and in the US the TT was only available as SWB, and the LWB only ever came as NA.

.... well that got boring, I see it's very busy on this thread.

How did you get away with that Gonzo?... getting away with 'blue murder' lol... does the sun shine out of somewhere... I'd have been banned for far less - actually, someone here was only a few weeks ago lol. :)

Agreed! wrong side of chrimbo too. If I had the cash at the moment I would buy them all. Could even make a bit of a profit come April/may time

Well all I did was list 2 shorties for sale and it got to this with people saying that the lwb was rated higher in reviews lol. I know there was someone after a swb manual TT the other day so this could have been of use.

For a moderator you are dammed if you do ban and dammed if you dont. But dont you worry about who got away with what we have our guide lines and stick to them.I think you will find we are very tolerant here and you will be given a chance up to a certain point. As for this post of yours it it just stirring the pot and trying to gain anti club and anti moderator feelings. I cant understand people who hate somewhere so much but spend so much time on it.So dont make fun of us....................lol:mad2:
