How often do you people just go for a drive? without a destination? Just for the fun of driving?

It's very rare i get the urge to just go but took the Zed out today on a 40 mile drive and loved every minute. No where in particular, just a drive along the coast, then through some town centres and back home. Nice and easy. Just cruising, not racing around. Throughly enjoyed it :)

Used to do it alot but I find I have less time these days. And thee increased fuel price and ridiculous no excuses speeding policy theyre running in dorset atm takes the enjoyment out :(

I still go quite often. I normally do set out a destination though, normally somewhere for food etc, but i do like to take the scenic route. I think you should come for a drive down to Teesside park on Sunday Peter and join our meet. would be nice to see the new kit in the flesh and that fancy Ipad thing.

What's that mate? I don't condone speeding in towns and villages, but empty motorways and good national speed limit A/B roads.... I will usually drive at a speed I consider safe for the prevailing conditions, regardless of the posted limit - if you know what I mean...

It's not as if Dorset or Somerset are great places to drive anyway. Sure the counties themselves are lovely; but everyone there seems incapable of exceeding 40mph on the open roads and there are so many pointless "20mph" zones, that it takes hours just to cover a few miles!!

I took my ZX out this morning for the first time in 2 weeks, but only to Sainsburys. And then on to Halfords..... But I was enjoying myself so much that I did take a bit of a detour on the way home....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Basically if you are over the limit period no matter time day conditions no real tolerance, you get booked no chances no warnings. And it carries a 120 fine. The amount of speed traps and unmarked vechiles is heavy.

every day I take her out and just drive,I love the stare's and people breaking there necks just to have a look as i drive by,lol

I did around snowdon and before i noticed i did 160miles.

Only went out for fuel

mate i do that pretty much every weekend in mine as long as its not raining

That's all I ever use mine for. Literally, just to drive it. No destination, no reason, purely because I want to.

i havent driven mine for over 6 months now and its been such a drag driving around in a clio....i cant wait to just cruise on through the neighbourhood again!

Agree with that, we just drive and pick different roads, hit a junction and ask, right or left.. brilliant...

Mine has been off the road since July when the engine was knocking and overheating, so looking forward to getting it MOT'd and using it just for the fun of it

me and the family do this .. just get in the car and drive

love it around here as theres loads of country lanes to drive on ..

did get lost one time ended up about 100 miles from home .. lol

Not as much as I used to in the Zed but still love a random drive out, especially late at nite. Pete, are you meeting at Teesside Park today?
