just got up. ..and it's the very first thing I see on my news homepage. not really sinking in to quickly. so saddened.

I hate bikes. Awfull machines. Thats 2 now in the motogp in as many years :(

I thought it was 3?

yeah the poor guy never stood a chance once he lost his helmet in the first impact. they spent 45 minutes trying to resuscitate him but to no avail.

very sad day for motogp

R.I.P

RIP, a bad month for motorsport, the video is shocking and not very nice to watch :(

A massive shame, he's been so entertaining to watch this season and has been making great progress with recent podiums.

My thoughts are with the family, friends, Rossi and Edwards.

RIP Marco

I felt sick, being a biker all my life its horrid to see. That strap on that helmet would of broke his neck when it came off. Never seen that before. RIP :(

Its quite surprising how low the actual fatality rate is for all the motorsports really. If you add up how many over the last say 20 years have died during races, you would have thought it would have been a lot higher. Goes to show the expertise of the drivers/riders is top notch and the safety has improved. Tough sports and I take my hat off to them.
