not something im wanting to do or anything, just curious, can you sit in neutral and lift the revs then select d to get a bit of a launch?

or is that a quick way to kill the box?

Featured Replies

not very experienced with autos, but that sort of jolt doesnt sound good for the drivetrain!!! :nono:

If you want a fast launch put the car in D raise the revs and hold the car on the footbrake and then release the footbrake and put the throttle to the floor.

WARNING: make sure you have plenty of space around you and use your private road, also be prepared to fit a new gearbox and rear tyres.

Have fun:biggrin:

Its ok, but would need a good service, im getting slight slippage when i go round a corner, although that could be lack of gearbox oil lol.
