Finally after two days of bad luck and hardwork i managed to get my car back home. To cut the story short, took a flight to belfast but on the way my wallet was stolen but lucky i put the car money seperately. This indirectly made me miss my ferry back to london. So was totally screwed but was a proud owner of a zed with no money for petrol and no place to stay. Somehow managed to get some money from a friend via a long shot, rebooked the ferry for the next day and left for london on saturday! Short version but was one of the most stressfull days lol

However getting of the ferry at liverpool and then driving 4 hours to east london, couldnt stop smiling :D. The car didnt miss a beat its got a share of problems, but its not too bad for the [rice and came with a full nissan service history too. Full leather interior in a very good conditions and fully electric seats etc

Big thanks to Gary for going over and checking the car for me!

Quick pictures with my iphone, so not the best quality around!

The car is very dirty, i am going to get a full vallet service on it within the next few days and will upload some more pics :)

Well that aside i would like to state the main problems and i hope the more knowledable users can give me a hand!

Bare with me as i am quite a newbie to the whole market.

-Braking causes shake too - Tracking or balance? or replace brakes?

- Fueling, when i try to fuel it keeps locking it, like how it should when the tank is full, but this does it all the time. So i can only fuel rather slowly.

-Tiny bit of Rust - weilding?

Full service history stamps are there but he didnt have all the reciepts etc, so i am not sure if they did a cambelt change, i am supposing they did as it was nissan. i tried calling the branch up but he said they delete the record after owners sells the car. So you guys reckon i should do a cambelt change?

First Steps

1) Full service and Diagonostics by Jeff!

2) Fix the rest :P

Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated!! :taz:

Seems tidy for the cash mate :cool3:

Very bizarre that any garage let alone a dealer would delete service records on a car because the owner has sold it. It's the cars records afterall but apart from using mystic Meg, how the feck do they know when a customer has sold it if done private or anywhere else other than the dealer!!

Step 1 with any new purchase, full check over and full diagnostic to see exactly what yer got, what works right or not and potential issues in the near future.

Consider step 2 after the results of step 1 lol

Yeah tell me about i thought they were really retarded to delete the history, i should find someone who works for nissan maybe they can shase it up for me!

Wow that was an adverture aj you should of called me if you were stuck in Belfast and needed somewere to stay the night but glad you got home the next day ok mate. The shaking in the steering could be the new alloys needing balanced or new brake discs and the cold start noise is the fan belt slipping. Get it all checked out mate and start enjoying your new zed. Look forward to more pics:thumbup1:

when fueling try holding the nozle at 45 degrees rather than vertical, i used to fill my last zed with the nozle upside down for this reason

O really? hmm i might give that try, i just found it a bit weird that!

Car looks great really hope you get the niggles fixed soon, it'll be ready for Zed season then

Check the alloys have got the correct spigot rings/spacers as this can cause horrendous wheel vibration

I could of helped you out Liverpool side mate if I knew you were a bit stuck.....Anyone reading this ever stuck around Merseyside give me a bell, pm me for a phone number......

The high speed vibration/vibration under breaking could be worn tension rod bushes as well - normally pretty obvious as soon as you jack the car up if they're gone as when they hang when the suspension has no load on it they look their worst i.e. cracked and perished. I'd check the visual state of these before you pay for balancing or especially new brakes.

Nice clean looking Zed you've got there, right colour as well :). Could handle having the wheels spaced out a bit.

Yeah was thinking along the same lines but need to do some reading up, never really used spacers myself.
