ive been fitting led reverse lights today .firstly fitted them into centre panel all nice and neat . then gave them a test on the bench (kitchen worktop ) connected up to car battery charger and they light up a treat . took down and fitted to the car and checked for live feed and earth . using the green and black wires that connect to original reverse lights . select reverse with ignition on and getting a good circiut until i connect to the new lights and nothing . now the lives are going where they should and good earths but no light . has anybody got any ideas what im missing here . its so straight forward yet im completely stumped why the lights work fine on 12volts in the house but not in the bloody zed

How have you connected the LED's to the cars wiring? also making sure you have 12v +

just turn the ignition without starting the engine and put it in reverse

should be albe to get the revrse lights to light up without the engine on takes the risk outta things :D

yes just had ignition on and in reverse . reverse bleeper going but no joy with the lights . i havent had a voltage meter on the plugs in the boot yet . just seems strange that im getting my live through the test lamp earthed on the other pin in the plug or to the bodywork . the plugs im on about are the original plugs in the boot that feed the original reverse lights green wire and black wire / white plug . green being live and black is earth

not sure what you mean

just had a look at that link . i have connected one unit to each plug . should i join the led units together and just connect to one plug and leave the other plug disconnected

Join the positive and negative of the two LED boards together then join them to the positive and negative of the OEM plug
