I owned a 1st gen ipod touch for 2 years and thought it was the best gadget i'd ever bought, used it every day while i was at work and was very happy :)

I got my iPhone 3Gs back a couple of months ago and absolutely love it along with my macbook pro and mac pro at home.

Absolutely love everything apple do, yes they are expensive but worth every penny for the lovely user interfaces they do, the screen and everything else.

Looking at the 4G i thought i wouldn't really want to upgrade but having seen the little nips and tucks here and there and the fact I take so many videos/photos it definately seems worthwhile.

Lookout, there'll be a flood of iPhone 3Gs coming up for sale on here by the looks of it

Be careful with your date connections then on O2 as they are not continuing with 'unlimited data' on their contracts.

To be truthful I am somewhat worried about upgrading in case the new one isn't as good lol

Ive never really been interested in phones. i charge it once every other week :lol:

I think my sony one is about 5 years old. might be time for an upgrade i supose

New and upgrade customers get Unlimited data till October...then it becomes limited.

but it changes to between 750mb and 1GB per month limit for most iPhone packages....which sounds like a lot for a phone, expecially considering Im sure most people auto connect to wifi whenever at Home/work ..etc anyway.

Kinda the same. As long as I can surf the net (with ease), text and call, that's good enough for me.

well,

Really want to test facetime but have to wait for the new sim to activate.

Bummer

I feel your pain, I hope the sim activates today.

well,

Proud owner (and my wife) of a iPhone 4, queued outside o2 in ayr today from 7am,

Really want to test facetime but have to wait for the new sim to activate.

Bummer

Why didn't you just wait till the queues died down? LOL

because i wanted one this month, lol

The local stores only had about 30 of them in stock and they were all gone by 8:30

Too much hassle for me!

I've been an early adopter of things in the past and most of the time got stung. So i'm just gonna let my current iPhone contract run down before I get one

average usage is about 200mb per month for iphone users, if u have an iphone you can check how much you have used in total since having your phone through settings/general/usage then scroll to the bottom, ive had my current 3gs 6 months and used 1gb.

as already said most connect to wifi wherever possible, the decision was made by o2 to limit the data as 2% of the customer base were killing the network for the 98% of the customers with normal usage. in built up areas some people were struggling to even make a call or send a text due to this 2%.

for most people these data limits wont impact on your bill but you will get a much quicker data connection.

i would imagine if this is right and the uk networks start seeing massive returns rates on them they will start issuing the bumpers (a silicone skin that wraps around the edge) with them free to try and stop returns. what a massive error on apples part tho, clearley not tested enough even when they seem to have been out there for months before apple even announced them.

apples first major error in recient times i think

im left handed! i have looked at the early upgrade option and i would have to pay £80 as my contract ends in november this year...

however im apparently on the o2 silver priority list which is meant to help me out with upgrading quicker but not sure if thats valuable or not!
