Need some ideas cos it looks a bit daunting after a quick look last night.

Murt did and he made a right mess doing it. Get good 6 x 4s and you'll have a correct and neat way of installation on a solid base.

Jesus wept man! Chill out! Murt actually told me that, which is why he's bought complete new boot plastics to rectify what he did!

to be honest with you mate if you have the original bose boxes in the back you will get a much better fit and finish by dropping 6.5 straight in there . get some focal or audiobahn . a lot of 6x9 are too deep . the sound quality in mine now is awesome . check ebay. coaxials in the back and components in the front . make sure your best speekers go in the front.

andy

you asked for pics so here is my custom build pic, showing just the one side.

not done by me.

they are just mdf enclosures carpeted.

scuse the mess, I shouldn't really have all that junk in there!!!!

Am in full swing of it now hopefully I'l be finished on wednesday and I'll put some piccys up

But I have yet to fit a stereo lol

I wouldnt bother with 6x9's or any rear speakers. Concentrate on quality front components, and a Sub in the boot for the best sound.

in my setup i have

6x9 in doors running off an amp

6.5" coax in rear just running off of the headsunit

will have 1 or 2 x 12" subs in boot when i can get my ass in gear to re build the boxes.

Right guys attempted to fit these today, and guess what they don't fit. The nearside wheel arch in the boot is bigger due to the petrol filler pipe I guess, I made everything around the offside and just mirror imaged it. Just to look back I have also recently sold my rear 6x4 speakers and destroyed the standard steel brackets experimenting. :taz::cursing::asshole:
