id be more into it if it was a cheaper outlay, but paybacks are too long, but then the government dont want us to be green, they want us to use all the oil and pay all the taxes.

id be interested in the way the swedish do heating if had the cash, they dig into the ground and use the heat from there, why dont we do it???

Geothermal energy is great providing you're in an ideal location. I don't believe the UK is sat on a tectonic plate that would allow us to effectively

extract heat. It's all done by water and places like parts of Scandinavia have huge underground reservoirs heated by the earth's core. UK doesn't unfortunately.

shame, but then gordon brown would tax us to death for it anyway

i wouldnt mind a little windmill in my house, but they cost a fortune and take ages to get the money back

my mothers new house (new council house build) has solar panels on the roof for the mmersion heater

Currently, I'd be worried about the bit in the sales pitch down the page: "when is it ever -5C outside ALL DAY long?"!

From a quick perusal of wikipedia, I'd say that unless you already have a highly energy efficient home (cavity wall, triple glazing etc) you're going to find that you don't actually get enough heat out of it.

the thing that gets me is he says he has installed a 6.5kw in his 3 bedroom house with 11 rads and at 0oC outside he gets his house to 21oC, and at 43oC air temp out side he gets 10kw and a water inlet of 20oC

wharf plumbing have been a limited company for 40 years, not a bad pedigree, phone them direct on http://www.wharfplumbing.co.uk/

still cant see proper cost savings on this product, i'd think 20 jumpers for your family brought from Primarni cost £40 and make you feel a lot warmer at home :)
