I Dont think there is enough space. It doesnt mention in one of my zed books that although it was considered it would have caused the cars bonnet line to be a few inches higher, which was not acceptable there for the idea was quite rightly scrapped!

IIRC the Skyline Coilovers fit a Zed but the rears need a little modifying and may sit a little higher so would have to be on a super low setting, but the HIcas and joints are all similar or the same

If that helps you out at all

you can do it on forza motorsport 3!!! probally best place to leave it aswell! just buy a gtr if you want 4 wheel drive imo

No I dont think so, the v8 was dropped because it was unfashionable, they felt since everyone else was a smaller displacement forced induction they had to go that way.

Obviously unles ive misunderstood the skyline 4wd system theres got to be a front diff and drive shafts coming out of the front of the gearbox? It would just be the most epic job to do even if it would fit! Do they have a transfer box? Im not really that clued up on them tbh!

yeah they have a transfer box, I know cos mine was mashed on my GTR and it was stuck in 4wd!

A full RB26 conversion, running gear the lot (with a little doctoring) should go in fine.. anything is possible if you have the money and the contacts! :saddam:

Edited by Baz

to be fair, it would probably be easier to lop the top of a liner and graft a z32 shell onto it! But then it wouldnt really be a 300zx would it LOL

Why the ban thing baz?! Don't wanna ban me do ya?!

LOL look again its not BAN! its ROCK ON!

WTF I didn't put that! :cry: :no::wacko::flowers:

hehe i didnt think so! ;) :crying:

a zed should be RWD and GTR 4wd. if you start mashing them into each other whats the point in the 2 cars

4wd is for fat useless people who cant drive. bit like traction control. No point in having it!

Bit harsh mr cow pat. Not everyone wants to go round corners with the back end out, but obviously you aren't a fan of 4wd.

:2guns: im as lean as they come mate and my GTR is 4wd some cars need it and some dont IMO the zed doesn't/shouldn't ever be 4WD

gtr race cars are rwd. 4wd is only for rally cars and other off road vehicles. top fuel dragsters and f1 cars are rwd so no need for 4wd on tarmac.

yes as the nissan GTR goes round the nurburgring as quick as super cars and its up the top of the top gear track time chart only beaten by super and hyper cars costing upto 20 times the price. all im saying is you cant give every 4wd the same label cause nissan through the rule book out the window with the GTR 4wd as clarkson said

What a silly statement! Drag cars go in a straight line only - under hard accelleration weight is transferred to the rear. Top fuel drag cars have their front wheels hardly touching the ground for the whole 1/4 mile so 4WD would be a little pointless really - lets see one up against a GTR around a circuit shall we?!?

F1 teams have dabbled in 4wd over the years - so by your understanding it cant be that bad a technology or they wouldnt have bothered, would they?? :smartass:
