I've been looking at the various wide body kits available and was wondering are wheel spacers the only releastic option to widening the rear wheel base or are there any after market kits available? How have others got around filling the arch after rear has had the wide body kit added?

Thanks, Tony :gunsmilie:

IF got some 60mm up for grabs in my for sale section and a wide arch kit.

but i think realistically spacers is the only option

Wider wheels with a lower offset is the preferred option.

Spacers are a cheaper but less favourable way of doing it.

yeah but what kind of offset would you need to fit a wide arch kit? is that even possible?

I don't have spacers. Well not on my car anyway :) Can't remember offset but Gruntpa has the same I think.

the beast has -1 offset rear wheels with no spacers and they fit the wide arch kit perfectly. the correct offset can fit a wide arch kit easily. some wheels have offsets such as -30 which would stick out too far even for a wide arch kit so its deffinately not hard to fill the arches without spacers.

ahhhhhhh ok.

no problem, cheers:D!

you can get wheels to fit without spacers but you are looking at well over 2k, buy craigs wheels and spacers to have a gaurenteed fit, i know it will fit cause it used to be my car

Zoggs, Jason Farrows, Bobgenie, Gruntpa...and others , all without spacers.

Better of selling those wheels and spacers separately though.

That wheel/spacer combo you had did not fill the arches properly, was one of the things letting the look down unfortunately. Spacers would be fine with different wheels and vice versa.

i agree there mate.

Offset is -31mm on the rear, this size will be order only and is avalible in very few manufactures so will be £££££ around 4k ish for a full set last time I looked

i thought that, but when you look if it had camber arms fitted and brought them out a bit it would have looked better, the correct wheels are better though

Putting the 60mm spacers on with adjustable camber arms will fill the arches much better, and will look right.

Rear adjustable camber arms should only be used to set up the correct camber! Winding them out just to fill the arches will just scrub the tyres if the camber is miles out!!

When you fit a wide arch rear you hace to lower the car by 50mm at the back and 35mm at the front. You need to put the camber arbs on to re-adjust the camber so putting the tyer at the top of the arch and filling it.

we are not on about using the camber arm to wind out:headvswal

I think you got the wrong end of the stick, made me laugh though:lol:

yup still got the bodykit, the alloy wheels and the spacers mate.

it will cost around 200 from zedworld to have the kit removed mate.

Then however much i choose to sell it for on top of that.

so if you are close to zedworld you could try removing it yourself

not the best time to be sending texts today about car parts etc so if you want to contact me at a further date to discuss it either pm me, e-mail me or text/phone.
