Looks like a dude from the American Forum is making them! I think with a 99 front bumper this would really make the 300 look alot more modern!

Im going to get a pair, i just hope he can reach get enough people so he will make them!

iirc they are illegal due to the beam pattern not being deflected properly. Shame as they do look nice

Email MOT and they said no problem as long as the beam fits in the pattern. It is actually much more precise than the stock. I will post up videos and photos as soon as my good camera arrives.

You recalled wrong my friend, he contacted a few MOT garages around the UK, as long as the beam pattern is set correctly there it will pass no issues.

Murt, have you got any idea on price to the UK.

look the biz..............

Its something on my new year list.

Surely if there is a beam pattern it will be throwing the light the other way to how we'd want due to being LHD in the states? if there is no beam pattern, then I can't see the point as to why all cars have this from the factory and why we have to stick beam convertors on when we go to France etc

I've been following these with great interest on the us site and i've chatted with andy a couple of times. They should pass through a uk mot if your lights are set properly as mentioned above.

Howdi Andy btw! :D

I would guess mate that at the moment its $99 for the product and about $15-20 shipping, i will ask him tonight when he gets online :)

= £70 / 73

If you only replace the lenses then no - the beam direction is set by those fiddly little adjusters inside the lamp itself. So even if you buy the complete unit you can still re-aim the beam pattern to work for RHD cars in the UK!

Those clear lenses do look good! And I'd guess that there'd be no affect on the dipped beam aim anyway; as they're of the "projector" type.

Those main beam reflectors look different to the stock one though - more of a "crystal" tpye pattern!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

From just seeing my "beam pattern" with the ones made in my garage it is a whole lot tighter. I've come to believe after installing mine on my Z(ed) that the flutes in the orignal glass lenses was to enhance the older , weaker bulbs that were made 20 years ago. I will get a video and photos up sometime this week to show you the amazing difference. I have a set of pretty weak HIDS on mine a buddy gave me and all I did was turn my adjustment screw up about 1/4 of a turn. Ive yet to have anyone flash their lights at me at night. It makes no difference if you have a LHD or RHD Z(ed). I will keep you guys upudated. Andy93Z

TBH - if these are just made my 'hot forming' acrylic over a fibreglass buck of a mould from the original glass - I will have a go at these as well as it aint' hard to do?

A job for next year me thinks...

Good luck...really,, I blowed over 1000 us before I got the one set on my Z (ed) correct.

Thats good news as it is a tasty mod (don't mind being wrong this time )

Didn't know that :) Will it not mark with stone chips though?

Possible but unlikely in my experiance to date matey.

Depends how big the stone is ;-))
