3/4 sized plates from http://www.fancyplates.com when ordering, make sure you go for plain/borderless. Graphics, slogans, gay fonts etc all look dreadful.

Obviously not a 99 front end, but you get the idea (plate size)

Yup, he didn't say anything about it being legal though and is the only way you'll fit a plate to the little moulding neatly.

Besides, I've never been pulled for the plate despite being followed, sat next to police, driven past plenty of police/VSOA check points etc. Never seems to bother them and I've had it on there nearly 5 years.

Call em if you like. LOL. Car is off the road for the winter anyway! To drive to the motorway near my house I have to drive past a VSOA checkpoint which also doubles up as a DVLA tax check too. I have driven past it 100's of times. No problemo. But I guess cause my car doesn't really stick out as being an OTT/Racey/modified kev mobile, it doesn't get frowned on. It's not overly small/cut down either, so blends in quite well. I've seen 1/2 sized plates on cars and they are really noticeably smaller.

Mine is 3/4 sized, not had any trouble with it. I know it looks crooked on the pic but it isnt :)

It can be trimmed (by them and to an excellent standard, my rear plate is cut to size). But you have a long number plate (7 digit). Hmmmmmm, they'll end up making the font smaller and it will look too small. Having only 3cm of overlap either side though isn't going to be that noticeable especially on a black car. Certainly better than the great big wide standard UK plate and infinitely better than an ugly square plate stuck on the front.

Alternatively you could always go for a flexible plate i.e vinyl and stick it to the nose?

yeah i got one of those and i still havent stuck it on yet.....

Got mine from fancyplates made to the size of the mount.

I did and got pulled, told to change it lol.So I have and the front is far to big for the stock nissan plate holder.I have attached the DVLA form the cop gave me and to be honest it just does not make alot of sense. The pic of front is how it was.Okay I know the font is wrong,so if I order another plate that size but with legay fonts will it be legal. Not bothered about rear one as legal size fitted no prob

Hi Bud, as Funki Si added, fancy plates are good, ive used them a few times, but these seem to have more choice, any size plate, any size letters and spacings!!! mine is a 12"x 3"

Mine is 3/4 size and it is slightly bigger than the mounting point, but looks good IMO. Never been told off for it and i have been pulled in my zed a few times now. Luck of the draw i guess.

mine came on the car. looks bit smaller in real life?

(PS excuse the dirtyness, car had been off road for about 2 years lol)

I had this one on my old red Z and it passed many MOTs.....

......basically it was the standard height with the correct size lettering; however it was "trimmed" to the width of the 99-spec mounting section. Of course having only 5 characters helped it fit......;)
