Not fitted it yet as I am collecting it on Wednesday. Never thought the 'Race' wheel I had really complimented the car and felt that something a little more old-skool and a little more luxurious would fit the interior a bit better too.

I always felt that my Race was slightly too small, being only 320mm. It was fun in some situations, but was just too small for me.

I have found a Momo Daytona and will be collecting it later this week. :)

Actually, I just checked your 'rides' and yeah, that is small! Must be like driving a kettle car.

Im led to believe its a 320 but never measured so will do, its great for my huge legs but as said cannot see much of the clocks.

Yeah there are advantages. It's great out on certain roads and access is easier. But their let downs are maneuverability and visability. Great wheels for on the track or enthusiastic road driving, but felt I needed something a little easier to use, something that wasn't narrower than my shoulders! I have yet to drive it actually with the new wheel on as it's been raining! LOL

pmsl

Okay to redeem myself and my appaling taste in steering wheels, how about this?

How about the new Quark wheel?

Mine is 320mm, But Im looking to replace it with a little larger.., 340 maybe, would'tn want to go larger than 350mm.

I felt the 350 was just too big. Dunno why. I'm quite broad shouldered and needed something larger.

you mean too small?

I can get away with a smaller wheel than most, in terms of dials visibility as my seat sits lower than the stock seats, but 320mm is just too small, and restricts too much.

I do prefer the feel of a smaller wheel though, steering is much quicker and more responsive and you get a lot more feeling through the wheel. A wheel with a thicker rim feels nicer too, which most are compared to stock. In terms of performance driving a smaller wheel is a big advantage. When I drive a Z with a stock steering wheel now It feels like Im driving a great big Bus, the wheel feels ridiculously oversized

I like that Si:bow:

I wasn't too sure before you fitted it, but now it's in the car it looks much more OEM than your last one.

It does blend in well....

I have managed to obtain another steering wheel! Yes, another Momo. A seriously rare one which I think I prefer and have spent a long time looking for. It's in pretty good shape, needs cleaning, new bolts and horn push to make it really mint. I think I'll fit it.

These wheels haven't been available for many many years and were an option available on the Lancer GSR Evo III.

Will look like this when fitted. It's much more chunky than the Momo Daytona wheel I recently fitted and I think it's probably a bit more in-keeping too.
