he sent me more photos and it inclueds the book full of recipts too, i couldnt wait any longer but i do like the look of this one. i have my mate taking me friday, but i will print of the check list that was given to me on one of my first posts. the beauty of this car is that the owner is a genuine petrol head as he is selling most of his cars to fund for a new engine for his american pontiac. i spoke to him on the phone too and to me he sounds like a genuine guy.

looks good mate.......but just because its got lots of receipts worth that much doesnt mean its going to be in great condition. Seems like a nice clean zed for that price tho.

Get yoursefl subscribed:D!!

Sounds good mate keep us posted can you take anyone from you're area who knows a little about Z's ?

Looks nice and smart in the pictures. Don't know why it's so cheap though if it's as good as it seems from the description.

thx all, when i pick up i will post some photos too. but thank you all for the help in all previous posts on what to ask and look for, mind you i havent seen a lot yet. but im appy for now.

dont forget mate, i know how much you ust want a zed, but if there seems to be things wrong or you uncover a few things when there have a think about it as zeds can cause alot of problems.

£9000.00 seems a lot to spend on a car in receipts he or the previous owner values at only £1500.00, it does seem like a case of buyer beware.

Good luck.

i will have a good look and check with the buyers guide that was given to me on my 1st post, once i print it off ,i will take it with me.

not necessarily... my Z has a folder with £13k of receipts yet only cost £800. Dont forget, repairs would have been expensive but when it was a £35k car then its rich people that own and maintain them lol.

Hope its a good one, certainly looks nice from the pics. Dont see many F regs. :)

funny that one, i thought that too, but i have a photo sent to me which is a recicpt from zworld for a speedo change and limiter removal.

did they make some on F reg ?

  • Author

sorry forgot to add in last post, with speedo change dont that mean its an import ?

Yeah there are a few around on an F plate. Only imports though, its the very early '89 ones. Not any issue as far as I know, just looks a lot older lol :p

and yes it will be an import if its had the speedo change and jap speed limiter removed.

Theres a few clues from the pics that you'll pick up with experience which suggests that is an import model - square front plate, side markers in rear bumper, indicators in side of front bumper (just blanks on a UK model), fog lights in front bumper, Z panel between headlights, and colour of (standard) window tint. But now we're getting geeky lol.
