Oh, so it's been a while since we had an insurance roundup.

I've just had a very impressive quotation from Lyndbrook who I'll be changing my insurance to next month saving me £200+ on my existing policy. I go from having unlimited mileage to a limit of 5k a year, which is no biggy as I do about that anyway, in fact, I probably do 3,000 a year.

So, let's have every one's age, the state of their licence/no claims, what you're paying, what you get and who you're with.

Funkysi: 30 : 91 JDM TT: Full no claims + clean licence. Garaged, limited mileage (5K on classic 2nd car policy), all mods declared £285 fully comprehensive. Lynbrook.

Si, I have just insured through Lynbrook, similar age to you 53yrs clean license (8k classic policy) all mods declared £301, and never used my NCB.

Paul

I didnt know you could have unlimited mileage, always thought you could have 3 & 5000 miles per year.

Can you tell me what company offers unlimited mileage

Thanks

Similar age to me? You're old enough to be my Dad...just. ;)

You're almost the same as me price-wise. I live in the country in an extreme low-rate area. So I guess I'm lucky in that respect. My car's also garaged every night.

Got a blinding quote from esure earlier, I'm 26 and got quoted £283 online for a uk TT, but rang them tonite and because my 9 years NCB is being used on the alfa it shot up to £519! I still think that is a bit of a con, it was even with the same company! :(

28 (nearly 29), 8 years no claims bonus, insured with Adrian Flux, 2 A4 pages of mods declared including nitrous, £820 fully comp.

Interestingly enough, requote for my new zed with the V8 in, £820 no change - simples! :D

Just waiting till next year when i'll hit the magic 3-0 then i can move it to a classic policy and get a slightly bigger day to day car :hyper:

Hopefully I can sicken you all

Quidco are a cashback website and they were offering £100 cashback on any More Than policy. I went through them and got a quote for £231 ( full NCD no points etc.) so with my £100 cashback, which came back about a month later the total was £131.

BUT, I cancelled the policy when I bought my GT-R and I was refunded £216!!.

Lucky eh?.

While we are on, if I told you how much I paid for my GT-R you'd  or :hurl: not sure which!.
