Hi all,

My car (Radrons) has the Z centre Electric fan kit on it with the Z1 Howe Radiator. Now I believe the fan is set to come on around 85-88 Deg C.

The Fan is pretty much on all of the time once the Engine gets to temp and seems to run on for approx 10-15 mins after the car is switched off.

The temp Guage (Stock) sticks pretty much in the Centre although I know these are unreliable.

Now I think the engine is probably running a little hot and after doing some searching on here it seems that people have reverted back to the Viscous unit and that this seems to provide better results in terms of overall running temp.

So is this the case or should I stick with the Electric Fan? I am awaiting a License for ConZult as Ron is getting it switched to me so I'll be able to tell exactly what the running temp is. I'm hoping it's not much above 90 deg TBH.

Also on the Fan units where does it take a measurement for Coolant Temp?

Thanks in advance for the replies, :duffer:

What temps are you seeing when the ambient outside temp is say 25 deg?

Thanks again for your help,

Paul

On an average journey it's 79-80deg and when pushed hard for long period of time it's gone up to 84, but that's it. Am using an Apexi EL gauge with a sensor plumbed in the Rad hard pipe for my readings, what is it your getting your readings from ? and any engine bay pics, couldn't see any in radron's rides.

Oh and i don't run any shroud, but i do have a S/S Slam panel.

Wasting fuel and performance running as cool as that. Is it not staying on safety boost?

No not at all mate, i think with 475lb's of torque and peaking at 1.2 bar, she runs like a dream ;) oh and as for fuel, with these things once modified, geez who friggin knows, lol
