think you can do it with some long needle nose pliers, but i guess u need to know what your doing, mine were done just before i bought it and the plenum stayed on

easy peasy just fiddly, no need to remove plenum, might need to move some other stuff out the way, You will need new hoese if they are the orginal ones, they will more than lilkely tear.

yea aggree with young james..job 10 times easier with new hoses going back as the existing will iff standed be rock hard by now

ps...soak the valves in petrol overnight then blow out with an air line and they will be as good as new

i removed the intake pipes for the front two pipes then i took the battery off and removed the side pipe from the valve with a socket and extension bar ..

the other side is slighty harder as there is less room and takes a while as co can not get a socket on to the valve so i used a spanner took ages... i couldnt replace the ones on the back as somebody has put a long single rubber pipe around the back

hth

I managed to change all the pipes and valves without removing any other parts, except the one at the rear, just could not get to it so left it in the end, but changing all the others stopped the smoking anyway.

if you soak them over night and blow em through as long as they blow out from the plenum and not both ways will they be fine?

bit confused i thought was just two valves on underside rear on each side of plenum thanks for help and advice

Absolutely no need to remove plenum. You can see the valves either side of the plenum. One side screws into the plenum the other goes to a rubber pipe.

The rubber pipes get very brittle over time and will mostly likely split when you try to remove them. They also get coated with oil residue which will cause the car to smoke for quite a while after replacing the valves if you dont replace the pipes also.
