In my old uk spec zed the seat position always seemed to be lower than my jspec :wack:  always had plenty of head room and could easily see the dash through the steering wheel... in the jspec my head seems v close and the steering wheel seems too low!

is this just because the foam was flattened by some bloater who had eaten too many subway meatball marinaras or are our western friends seat mounts boosted up slightly to help with height issues!? 'the ergonomics of culture'

the wipers are fooking annoying... that last wipe it insists on doing when you turn em off!

Agreed :rofl::rofl:

i have a 1990 series 1 jspec and my seats tilt front and back which allows you to raise and lower the seats

You have 2 ways to raise/lower the seat :

seat height up/down

Base tilt up/down

as well as :

Seat position - forwards/backwards

Backrest angle - forwards/backwards

i have a 1990 series 1 jspec and my seats adjust by tilting front and back which allows you to raise and lower the seat

If yours are electric, then as above you, you have tilt and you have seperate raise. Both switches move in 4 directions.

Unless you have the manual seats, not electric ? I cant remember how they adjust but nearly all Z's have electric seats.

yes but it only seems to raise the back end of seat so you have to raise the front seperately to level it up

Sounds like you're just pulling the lever too and forth rather than up and down. If you pulled the rear switch up, the back won't go up and down as it's the base that moves.

Electric passenger seats don't have this function however.

it moves to a park position which allows the wipers to sit lower on the screen hence the last annoying wipe.

4, both sticks should go forward, back, left, right

hmm well in wich case the height one is fooked its just the tilt one iv discoverd so far - and i already knew about the intermittent wiper thingy so nerrr!

LMFAO reading this post. Joely, now look what you done! The entire z community discussing whether the seating position is different due to material, country of origin etc and what it really boils down to is you didn't know where your knob was. Brilliant.

If I wanted a passenger seat to do what the drivers seat does, what would I need a USA one?

Aren't the uk spec ones the same? I have the uk series 2 electric ones... But never sit in the passenger seat lol
