thinking of getting some better tyres for putting on when driving in the wet, anybody got any reccomendations, they dont have to be cheap, just want some that dont slip and slide at lights even under slight acceleration.

cheers

i had yokohama parada spec 2's on one of my old cars was great wet or dry

Currently running Michelin Pilot Sport 2's, seem very good so far in all conditions.

Other recomendations would be Bridgestone RE050 and Goodyear Eagle F1's, ive ran both, both very good tyres

Christ, had you been reversing up the side of buildings?

It's well annoying coming across these posts, I'm always left wondering what I've missed! (even if it was a load of rubbish)

I can recommend Goodyear GSD3 or Dunlop SP 9000 Sport; I've had both on my Z and it's never slid or slipped in the wet with them on:)

I have the Dunlops on now and they have lasted better than the Goodyears too. DON'T buy Avons though as they are crap - I had brand new ones on my Z when I bought it and the car slid everywhere. They were the first thing to go!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

My Goodyear F1 Asymetrics seem great in the wet, no sliding at all but only had um a month but it was pi**ing down and we drove 200mile with um just fitted and they never slipped at all

best cars in the wet are those fitted to anything but a zed

wouldn't have thought a Zed would handle too good with a car attached to it, wet or dry!

(sorry, very silly of me)
