Finding it difficult to understand why the area was deleted without consulting the members, there are still meetings in the area that could be arranged, if it could be reinstated it would be appreciated?

Incredible....your all deeply concerned now it has gone, but none of you gave a toss when it was there. :rolleyes:

I only organised two successfull meets last year with 40plus members turning up, but now there is no section for me to post any more potentially succesful meets?

i wonder how long it will be before this thread gets closed as well :headvswal. it seems its either your way or no way from what i can see. WHAT ABOUT THE MEMBERS SAY ?? or does that not count. every paying member of this club should have a say in what goes & doesnt go, or better still, have a poll & vote on it. that is a fair way of doing anything & not just down to one persons say so.

mate we hear what your saying but as been stated iff enough peeps spark up and show they want it back then ime sure it will go back..but iff this is what it takes to have a body count on intrested members then its all good;) please dont make it sound like you've had your rights taken off you and your feeling let down by the club because any rational thinking member knows thats not whats happened..Kim has just turned off the lights in an empty room and iff anyone wants to use the room then the lights will go back on ime sure

znut. yeah, thats all well and good for the SE section, but what about the SY section. theres not enough there to start with. people have got other commitments nor the time to become REO, hence the reason why nobody has come forward. just beacause of that reason we have no section anymore. well im sorry, that STINKS, and not fair for the members in SY.

It has been said that because the SE members don't turn up to meets that they are not interested, this is not an accurate assumption, the room wasn't empty or disinterested as shown by some meetings.

 

To close the SE region was a decision made in haste, and now the SE members have to contribute to a thread to open it again, the area of the country containing the most people, doesn't sound to me like the most constructive route for the club?

Im sorry, but it makes absolutally no sense to delete a region because its members didnt attend the meets set up by its REO.

 

Bar the national meets, the Surrey Rolling Road and Virginia Waters meet was probably the two most attended Non National meets in the WHOLE country. It has been a loooooooong time since ive seen any other region hold meets with 15+ zeds at meets.

 

Through the whole time i ran the SC section, the most i ever managed to gather was 11 at Goodwood, every other meet was between 3 and 6 cars.

 

No offence to ivan, but maybe a new REO was needed to freshen up the region with some new ideas and meets. To delete such a huge region just doesnt make sense, and how in gods name does it "clutter up to forum" when we have soooooooooooo many other regions and sub forums, getting rid of a couple of regions isnt going to make the slightest dent in decluttering the forum

'kin 'ell whats going on....deleting a whole region cos the REO steps down...its the 300zx.co.uk club last time i looked, not jap cars north west...put it back on...or the kitten dies

well, i've been to almost every SE meet held south of London for the last 3 years, and i think attendance has been a minimum of 6 cars but mostly in the 10 to 20 range,

i've also reguarly checked the region to see if i have time to get to any of the meets in essex or north london

There is a Z meet On the 4th January at the Halfway House on the A127 from 12 o'clock onwards and also on mostly the first Sunday of each month.

 

The 350z guys have now decided to join in at this as well changing their location from the Thurrock Services to the Halfway House
