Been a pistonhead since I can remember and the 300zx was in my dream car list since I was 16 or so (32 now).
So an opportunity came by and I bought a 93 TT 2+2 LHD in the beginning of the year.
She was looking pretty good so I jumped for it:
And after she got home, shot a couple more pics next to a friend's toy:

Anyway, she has a few dents... When I got her she was vibrating so much I couldn't go over 80mph or I couldn't breed. That was almost fixed by recalibrating the wheels but the tires themselves were also not as round as they should be (she was sitting in a garage for some time). With time that became better.
Brakes were very poor... Replaced pads and brake fluid... Got better... But started losing brake fluid in the master cylinder. Rebuild kit needed...
Suspension wise, she had a leaking rear right shock and a shoot wheel bearing...
Engine was running strong at the time but then developed a hesitation when driving around 2000RPM... The hesitation with time developed into a complete cut (engine would not die if I pressed the clutch but would not respond as well)... Had to wait a couple of seconds and she would start responding again as nothing ever happened.
Interior wise, she is pretty nice and well taken care of... Electrical antenna was not working but that is already fixed. AC and warmed seats work (although the driver’s side heats up quicker than the passenger’s) and it is a very pleasant place to be in... No water leaks.
So now I'm missing her dearly because she is in the garage being looked at for almost a month... Not that much being done to her but waiting for parts and so on... Takes for ever.
Anyway, the current work list is:
- recover the rear suspension - besides the leaking shock, the electrical valve (could someone explain me what's that for?!) was dead. Both rear shocks being repaired and refilled.
- replace wheel bearing
- brakes master cylinder repaired with the Nissan repair kit
- fuel pressure regulator and dampener being replaced with new items
- PTU being replaced by new style one
- new air filter (apexi cone)
And that's it... Hoping she gets to me almost as good as new and with all major troubles sorted.
Regarding plans for the future... Well, as most of you, there is this dream upgrade path that involves tons of money that I don't have but hopefully will.
I never liked straight lines and although eye stretching acceleration is good fun, top speed is meaningless to me. I'm more focused in a track car so:
- top notch suspension parts (well, road usable)
- top notch brakes
- more engine but keeping lag to the minimum (would be happy with about 450~500bhp)...
- other than that, recover the car to a as good state as possible. New rubbers, paint job, etc...
Regarding the looks... I just want new rims (18'' because of the big brake kit) and those probably will be the Volk CE28N bronze... And it will be a little bit lowered with the new coilovers... And that's it... Maybe replacing side indicators and rear lights with white ones (JDM style I guess)...
Hope you guys liked this introduction of my almost first year with the 300...
Much more could be said but these are the highlights.
