no Steve,,they have to much of that "gentlemans wood" thing going on in the cabin

Love them, one of the loveliest car shapes made in the last 10 years I think. Not raw enough for me though, bit too much of a cruiser.

Would be a nice car if you also had a zed or a westy in the garage otherwise I would get bored pretty quick I think.

I really like them, but would sooner source a BMW 840 Manual. Good thing about the Jags and the old 8 series BMWs, you don't tend to see any with horrendous bodykits on or miserable wheels. Largely, those two cars have been left alone by the fashion-conscious-less, cash-strapped individual.

XK suffers from nikasil bore failure so engines tend to die around the 100k mark which is why the prices are low. Find one that has been replaced or repaired and you are quids in. My friend has an XKr convertible and just going to the shops makes you feel like a filmstar.

Lovely cars IMHO

I would really love to own one but i don't think i'm quite old enough yet lol

Given it some serious thought though, especialy the xkr convertable in black with blood red leather :D

NO!

I've always been a Jag fan (and a lover of the XK8) so I thought about buying one as a daily driver a few years ago........

......until I test drove one or two!

The (old shape) XK8 is a barge; similar power to a Z32 TT yes, but it weighs loads and can no way match the Z's performance. IIRC 0-100 comes in at over 16 seconds. The supercharged XKR is a different beast; but after being disappointed with the "normal" one I didn't bother with that and bought my first Merc instead.

As Craig David says; the CL500 is nice and cheap as chips now as they were never as desirable as the SL/SLK/CLK. I also agree with Si - the 8 series BMW is a bruiser and still looks good today....

Richard;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
