Hi guys, i have had a quote, and there are a couple of complete kits in stock.... Eibach Pro Kit springs $225 KYB AGX Shocks $95 each shipping ~$70-$95 This is about $700 total, which at todays exchange rate is just under £500. Something can be done about reducing the import and vat charge too... contact me for details if you are interested in the deal. I think i will be going for it :)

Looking at the mad rush at the fuel pumps lately has anyone looked at using natural gas (L.P.G., incase anyone was getting out the Heinz!). I contacted Tickford and a couple of other places last year after watching Top Gear (who said that the goverment will cover part of the conversion cost). Tickford had converted a number of single turbo cars (Saab etc) but said it couldnt be done on a twin turbo. I tried calling today to see if things have changed but no luck getting through. But if they can power a BTCC V6 Vectra I'm sure they may be able to convert a Z (plus I think the going rate is 36p against 82p for Unleaded). Wonder if it works well with NOS :) Laters, T…

Just wanted to say a big public thanks to Craig for a top weekend. From the organisation of the karting through to the roast dinner (and, those who missed it, I'm not joking) and the full English Breakfast. (Not to mention the rather substantial dent which he allowed DaveW and I to make into his lager stash). Thanks also for the lift up to Trax Craig. Dave P.S. How much do you spend a month on batteries for the remote controls in your front room ?!?

Hi everybody, I've just noticed my boost gauge for the 300zx tt dosen't seem to be working propery, when i put the power down I get only to 0psi in first and it does go up a little when I put the power down hard but it drops away very quickly before i've even got to 4000 rpm. Performance seems very sluggish compared to normal but there are no other signs from the turbos like whistling, rattling etc. Any sugesstions thanks JW

and no, its definitely not mice! Started a few months ago to be honest. Only audible at idle and sounds like a squeaky belt. However, I noticed today that when the car is idling, if I depress the clutch pedal and then release it, the noise goes, but then will slowly come back again after about 10 seconds or so. At first I though it might be the clutch / gearbox because the noise went when I kept the clutch down. However, seeing as the squeaking doesn't return immediately when I take my foot off the clutch, I'm not so sure. Any offers??? Cheers, Dem.

Has NE1 recorded the amount of oil used when doing an oil change. The manual says 3 litres W/O filter, 3.4 litres with filter and 3.7 litres with filter and oil cooler. I put 3.7 litres in, ran the engine for a while, then let it cool for a while and drain down. It only registered 3/4 full so I put in the remaining 0.3 ltrs giving a total of 4. Checked it today (one week later) and its half way up the bloody dipstick. So, how much did you put in in your last oil change, unless you took it to a garage! Andy

On my way down to Craigs and noticed a few things not quite right!, First felt like i was losing a bit of boost, thought i`d sorted that when i found a lose hose. Carried on taking it easy at about 85, thought i`d have a quick moment of madness and open it up a bit, but no boost!! oh shit, safety boost i thought, then after about 3-4 mile decided to give it another go, nothing. A couple of miles later lost all power and engine died, managed to get on the hard shoulder where i found the battery to be totally dead. Gave my mate a ring and got towed home (he has a flat-bead designed for low cars, only just made it though!)Praying the alternator hadn`t gone stuck the batte…

Ive just bought an import 300ZX TT and thought I had found a winner. Until I noticed that the oil pressure was seriously on the low side. If started when hot and left to idle (or driven below 2k rpm) the oil pressure hardly moves off the 0 line (calibrated in KG /CM2) If given a bit of right boot the pressure goes up to about 2 and then drops back circa 1-ish when idleing. I changed the shitty oil for Castorl RS and its better but still not as high as I would of thought it should be. There are no nasty rattles, and oil is on the cam veiwed from though to filler cam. Is it just the sensor (and how much do they wanna be?! 80 quid plus VAT!?! Jesus what have I bought?…

I think there's a pattern emerging: where I go, Z32 steering rack's fail =) After already passing over a few 300's (one which was having a new steering rack) I've since found a nice 8yr old that I'm hoping to buy soon. It's had the 'lightweight' RAC check carried out for me (a one-page, 22-point check on the main bits and pieces) which has turned up only two significant issues. The first was a failed air-con, which the garage is sorting out no problem. Second thing is what the RAC guy wrote up as "minor movement off-side rack unit". The car already has a recent MOT, and the RAC guy was confident enough to do the road test. (During my test drive I did notice a b…

  19. So, do I laugh with glee, cry like a baby or do it the old fashioned way and just go up the pub and get drunk? Firstly, thanks to 300Z for the contact details on the Mines distributors in the UK. I hope you get your Z sorted out soon! I just got of the phone to Option Motorsport in Silverstone. I spoke to what sounded like their head mechanic, a Japanese guy. He says that it is not the Mines ECU causing the problem (see previous post to see the problems that I have been experiencing). Apparently, this ECU should run comfortably with Super unleaded 97/98 Ron. The reason why my local mechanic could not gain access to the settings to check and re-map them is b…

Bit of a nightmare with a replacement car for when mine's gonna be having gearbox done. Just wondered, if anyone needs to or wants to go to Silvia on Saturday afternoon from Craig's then they could give me a lift back - sounds dead cheeky but I'm not asking anyone to go if they're not interested in going themselves. I may manage to sort something out before then but if anyone is interested then can you mail me (best to get me at work - gbleg3mu@ibmmail.com). Yes, that IS a real email address ! Just a temporary one. Dave
