Returning from KFC tonight having returned my order because they got it wrong again! Just about to pass a BMW 328i on the dual carriageway and he speeds up,I drop down to third, floor it and blast him into my rear view mirror. Traffic lights are on red, stop side by side revving for the launch, one light, two lights Three lights GO GO GO GO,I kill him in 1st, lose him in 2nd,totally lost him in 3rd, brake hard for next set of lights, BMW eventually arrives, sit there laughing and grinning at each other, i cannot believe the bastard wants more! Hi folks, My anntena has died on me. The motor works but the aerial doesn't go up (oooooh eeeerrrrr). I've managed to completely disconnect the antenna and motor from the car except for a plastic pipe which is connected to the car's underside. The antenna won't disconnect from the motor housing neither. WTF? I've no idea what the clear plastic pipe is and whether I should/can disconnect it. Any ideas will be appreciated 'cause I'm stumped. Until then my Z is manual.....aerial that is LOL. Oh, my Z is a '91 UK TT Auto if this helps. Cheerz, Van

I have the dvd of Tarmac Terrorists in which there are two Zs that are around 500bhp i think,one claimed a top speed of over 200mph but boath cars managed 149mph give or take 3mph.One car is a se-nissan Z,has any one else got this dvd and what did you think? The fastest car was i think without checkine dvd was around 170mph and that was a cossy.As the Marines say "this is show me country".Please does any one know the truth becourse mine tops out at around 150 odd and is a standard TT and i dont mind proving it any time.I am only asking becourse on the DVD the cars were supposed to represent the fastest UK road cars,please what point am i missing guys. thanks Chas

Since cleaning the throttle bodies about 6 weeks ago i have a problem with idle anything between 1500 and 2000 rpm the hotter the engine the higher the revs. Yes, did do the negative earth thing for more than 30 mins and must have done some 1200 miles since so ECU should have learnt by now. To date have done the following: Cleaned temp sensor connectors, these were shite and this has made a difference now idling at 1100 rpm without air con / fan running, temp sensor is working as revs rise if lead is removed. Cleaned throttle position sensor connectors. Cleaned MAS sensor connectors. I now want to adjust the idle but i am fu*ked if …

Hi i think the part you require is the ignition modular lokated on the o/s bank at the front of the engine,is it a small alloy box with cooling fins? If so mine was brought from my local Nissan dealer in Derby at a cost of around £270,i brought and fitted mine 3 days ago and they had 2 on the shelf of which i took one, now the car runs sweet again.It is easy to fit aswell.I hope this helps.

Anybody replaced their little box of tricks that bolts on the front of the cambelt cover. Correct name bypasses me at the moment. But after a roof off dead engine traffic stopping last 2 hours I think mines fubar. Any ideas of cost & supplier ? Z will not be going to the POD tommorow i'll be it the pug instead. harve.

I check regually on the A/T site to see what the prices are like. This week there are 50 300s nationwide but, the prices seem to be slightly higher, nothing below 5500, can only be a good thing. Just my casual observations. Tim

How good was yesterday? spent the whole afternoon cruising with targa`s out. Life is sweet when the sun shines and the roofs in the boot,I still can`t believe the difference it makes,it like owning 2 cars! and the looks in traffic are so cool.Called at a local tuning shop that has a full top to floor window in the showroom, as I pulled up to it I was focused on the reflection,until I looked inside to see 2 staff and 2 customers staring and one mouthing wow! its so good to be alive when you have a zed Jeff TT

what's the view on fiberglassing the body of the Z? is there any problems that I might run into in order to fiberglass the body?

People, please tell me it's not just me. If the roof of the car is wet, I get the occasional drip coming through the drivers side seal between the door and roof join. Is this normal... ...And yes my window is closed.

Ok now I know that craft knifes are especially sharp but, jeeez one little slip tonight trimming my new a piller pod and one finger doing a dangley impresion .As I am a hard guy (HONEST) I ran cold water on it and said to the missus its ok just needs a bit of sticky tape,however the white bit visable through the blood was a bit too much,hospital and 3 stiches later.Guess what I did when I got back?? carried on cutting the pod, the missus not amused. looking good, gone dark now will fit in the morning.the pod not my finger. Back again !!!! The interior of my ZX is Like a blue material! supose alright if ya like blue!!! I wanna iether buy second hand interior inc seats door cards dash covering etc to change the color/material (leather MMMMMMMMMM!) OR Get the interior recovered?! SO anyone with interior fur sale? Hi Guys just got a Nissan 300ZX TT Targa G reg 1989 model jap import in blue metalic! for £4000.00 to replace me 2.2vtec prelude! Please don't tell me I payed to much you'll make me cry!!! Its standard all round so the wheels are the standard ZX 16" runnin' 225/50-16"! Now I wanna up the wheels to 17" and run 235 fronts and 255 rears! I've seen it on a H plate ZX. I've been told that the older model ZX has a naff off-set of about 18 so I'd need to space up by about 15mm to get any of the newer wheels! The sort of wheels I was lookin' at were BBS LM but realised they're £400+ each just for the wheels!!!!! So I'm lookin fur somethin' similar at about a quarter …

I have upgraded my emmobiliser to a Cat 1. They installed the Meta alarm and there are a few features that are in the instructions but are not happening on my alarm. Does anyones elses Meta alarm make a noise when you arm it. Mine doesnt, and some times I press the button only to find my car unlocked when I come back. It is supposed to arm its self after about 3 mins but it doesnt, just one of the features the alarm place forgot to set up. Stuart
