HI guys, had the zed on the rollers yesterday for a tune up and to see what power it's pumping out, the results were 326bhp at the flywheel which isn't to bad but i was expecting a bit more. Blitz sus air filter Superchips ecu Bleed valves removed cats First thing is how can superchips claim their ecu gives you an extra 70bhp when clearly it doesn't. Do you think i should change my ecu? Secondly what exhaused do you think i should get,i want something with a good power increase which wouldn't wake the neighbours at 2.30am when i go to work. regards Andy

hi all, ive been a zed owner now for about 4 months and a damn fine cars they are too... appart from the annoying creak which mine appears to have. it first appeared a few months ago but then disappeared after a while, but now it seems to be almost constant. its hard to describe but its a cross betwen a creak and a rattle and appears to be comming from the engine bay, directly infront, maybe slightly to the right of the driver, maybe near the front strut. is there anything that has been known to work lose in these cars in that area, ive had a quick scan but cant see anything obvious, it could possible be the bonnet stay but the noise seems to be too near the driver fo…

ah ha, my zed is finally operational as of tonight. it has a new prop shaft fitted and hence, no more vibration under the car. sadly just as my car is lookin like the daddy, my finances are turning into a big pile of pooh! i think i'm gonna have to sell it!!!!!, ah arse! well, thats what i say every time i go to a cash machine, but when i get back in the car i'm thinkin 'oooh, i'm the daddy' in true homer simpson wandering brain style. anywho. i need to get to bed......damn winter colds!!

My wheel squeeks when its turned about 30 clockwise and the squeeks again on the way back. Its annoying. I have drowned it in WD-40 but it still does it. I have takes off the rubber surrounding of the steering wheel and WD-40'ed the nut. Now the steering wheel still squeeks but now I cant get the rubber cover back on. Any ideas for that too? Stuart

here's the deal I'm looking for.no time span. I've got a auto box reconditioned 12 months ago and upgraded(90 spec was weaker)still in use on car, and I want to swap it for a manual box and all the ancilleries to convert to manual(g stick prop pedal box etc) PS,gearbox must be in good nick, i dont need a flywheel cos i got a spare engine with it on.

I've tested a couple of Jap imports in the last week or two (got nicked for speeding in one of 'em, but thats another story ) and both the dealers were saying that the cars didn't come with the logbook and that it was rare to find a car that did. This seems kinda stoopid to me cos every other car I have ever bought in the UK came with some proof of history and therefore proof of mileage etc. Does anyone know what the score is with this? I am paranoid that they are all thrashed and neglected and have had 1/2 the mileage taken off 'em! Cheers, -Stu

since i have repared the wiring the wires that go to the alternator the z seams to b going like the clapers could this be dew to the engine not getting full power from battery b4 or something cos the auto electrision that i know said the wire had been hanging on for some time when i took it in for cheaking so wondered if that could b the reason that it is more responsive another thing is my turbos are still making a funny noise it seans to happed when i have gone some where like supermarket then come out and start driving againe today it was not too bad but yesterday it sounded like a police sirren had been crossed with an air raid sirren its weard dont sound to good but …

Well the new drop down menu doesn't quite work for me. Only the rides, tech/exhaust and contacts/silvia link work. i noticed that if it doesn't work to contact/let some one know, but i can't click on contact =).

I've decided that I'm gonna moth ball the Z until the Summer months get closer. Is there anything I need to do before turning out the lights for a few months? Anything I need to take into account? Shouldn't be too much of a problem, was off the road for nine months or so at SE so it should be used to it! LOL
