Just thought I'd add this link to a really good test on induction kits. Proving that Apexi ARE indeed the best. I currently have an HKS mushroom on mine (yikes)!!!, but will soon be changing to an Apexi. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

Tried to check sensor this morning to solve an auto g'box problem. But voltages are nothing like what's in the manual. ie. outer contacts = 9v at idle and 0v when open slightly top 2 contacts = 0v idle 12v open slightly bottom 2 = 9v idle 12v open slightly Is that 5v and 0-4.2v thing just for early engines? Mines a '94 n/a. Thanks.

Just got it back from the bodyshop and had a full valet while it was there. As soon as I picked it up I realised the turbo boost gauge had stopped working. The car is performing the same but no gauge. Obviously an electrical problem but where do you start. Any ideas?. Steve.

Might need a set of TEIN HA's refurbished. TEIN UK can overhaul them but could anyone else recommend or know of a company that would also do the job? Cheers, Leigh

Thinking of getting a 300zx auto but i know I will eventually want a manual conversion on it. I have seen that the zen garage are advertising the job for £400 labour. Is that just the labour charge? +VAT? do they supply the gearbox also? how much does this cost? and how long does the job take? I have emailed them asking the same things but no reply yet. Just wondering if anyone on here knows the details

How much does a insurance approximately runs annually for a 300ZX? that is third party basic insurance not full.. what would be the cheapest rate I could get and with who?? also could anyone tell me what is normally the price for I´ll have to pay on road tax annually for the 300ZX?? As for the insurance just a hint; I am actually 38yo and never had a single wreck accident in my years of driving. so I suppose those count as bonuses...I think.. would appreciate this info please. THank you so much as always!!! ;) ;) ;)

Had the car in the garage this week getting some front bushes fitted (original Nissan) and getting the rear end checked out as it's like driving on marbles sometimes. Anyway they've had a look and say the ball joints on the HICAS have to much play in them and also the shocks could do with changing and to be honest I'm not suprised as I thought this was my problem. Anyway, I figure I may as well get some of the bushes replaced at the same time whilst it's in bits. I have generally been buying Nissan parts, but wondered if there are better options out there for shocks and bushes for the same or very similar money (don't want to stiffen the car up any more or lower it b…

As you push down on the clutch pedal the first 3-4 inches does absolutley nothing then you push down from about halfway to the floor you can feel resistance but its hardly enough to be able to select a gear! When you do eventually manage to get it into a gear the bite point is so low almost as soon as you let clutch up! The clutch is brand new only covering around 5000 miles i would say and this problem seems to of just occured overnight as when i last used it everything seemed fine its so wierd!!! Can anyone help me as the car is basically stranded unable to get it into gear!!! :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal
