Just to give you an update, recieved a pm from Si's wife asking me to contact him on the phone. Had a good long chat with him for 20 mins or so, he's still got a sense of humour and he's making progress but he is still really suffering with the after effects of the stroke but dealing well with it. He passes on his regards and says thank you to everyone who's supported him through the fund. Thanks guys and gals, you're all stars  When i finalise what's happening i'll drop a pm to everyone on the fund list and let you all know what it's going to be used for. IT IS VERY COOL THOUGH :D RAFFLE PRIZE (£1 a ticket): Okay here's an i…

I want to fit a DAB aerial antenna to the exterior of the car and dont know where to put it. I need to keep the existing aerial for FM so i suppose the obvious point is in place of the rear washer jet but i will be sorry to loose that. Is there anywhere around the t-tops that could be used. I would rather be making holes in plastic bits that can be replaced than drilling into the car body. Will also have to be able to string the cable from the aerail to the head unit. Any ideas?

Guys, had a look in the usual places and can't fnid an idiots guide to clutch fitting, twin turbo.net have a load of great guides but not for clutch fitting. I understand it's one of the few routine jobs on a 300zx but my mechanic is asking if he needs any special tools. A step by step guide would be a great bonus to be able to give to read through before he starts aswell. any ideas...? (my apologies if I'm being a plank and missing an obvious link or thread) cheers

I was messing about in the car and discovered the steering column as some play. Not noticed it before as there are no vibrations coming through the wheel and it feels fine when driving. The whole steering column moves about 5mm in each direction horizontally if pushed! There is no vertical play what so ever, just horizontal. The whole column moves including the ignition barrel etc. I take it this is not normal?!

Anyone heard of a treatment for windows that can be applied to stop water staying on them? I'm just thinking of it for the side windows and back after i removed the rear wiper arm :D Supposedly could help in the frost as well if the water has nothing to grip to?

He, he! :D Just ordered something from Australia, it has 300 on it, but that doesn't refer to the 300ZX! But it's for a 300ZX though. It'll be going with a few other bits 'n bobs that I've ordered from the UK, some this week and some a little while ago from Danny! :D Unless anyone guesses, I'll post the answer up when it's all finished. ;)

Ok peeps, I'm having trouble. I got a spare bonnet a couple of months ago with the intention of venting it. I'm after something fairly subtle but functional as the idea is to draw the heat out rather than force more air in. If you have any ideas, I'm open to all suggestions, so don't be scared to go a bit different. Cheers Alex.

Just wondering how many miles people get from a tank of fuel in a Z32 TT. I am only getting about 180 miles from a trank and that is driving sensibly! :duffer: It smells like it is running rich!

Just had the cam belt changed on my Manual TT. I now notice a slight missfire around 4.5 - 5k and have also noticed it going flat at 6K. The engine used to pull clean through the rev range prior to the belt change. Both symptoms are very intermittent, but before i go back to the garage and ask them to look into the issue, is there anyone here who has had similar probs?

300zx z32 non turbo when i removed the exhausts for repairs and replaced cat back with turbo exhausts i had trouble removing 2 sensors from the cat. so like an idiot i am cut through the braided wires coming down through the floor around the center consol. so my question...... how would NOT reconnecting these sensors effect the running and ecu stuff. not too bothered about lack of proformance of fuel consumption but more importantly, would the co level and all that be ok to pass an MOT ? what do people do with these wires when they fit them pipes instead of cats ? Thanks Danny

It on a road just above the M4, Runs pretty much along side it. Between J15 and J14 and is roughly north of membery services, These are the names of places around here... Peaks down? Gore la Farm? Bailey Hill farm? It looks like a farm but has loads of recovery vehicles there, This bloke has loads of zeds and i mean LOADS!!! I see different ones there everytime i pass there and as you can see in the pictures he has some mental ones, I counted about 7 there today. Have allways wanted to pop in and ask him what he does with them all but i never see anyone there in person :(

What do people use when putting the front two water pipes back on, the ones just below the pulley covers with the sensors in. Is there supposed to be a gasket behind these or do you use gasket sealant and if so which 1 ? I think mine have been leaking behind these although I am replacing the two rubber hoses there as a matter of caution.

Hi all, Ive got a 89 spec import TT and the autobox is making a whirring noise at idle and has just started squeeking like a metal upon metal sound in drive and it also vibrates over 40 mph and slips under full power most of the time. Im fearing the worst on this one(new box needed).Fluid level is fine. When the gearbox is in drive and i take my foot off the accelerator it seems to disengage the clutch so to speak and the revs drop to idle, but in gear 2 when i take my foot off the accelerator at speed it doesnt disengage but slows down with the engine braking it....is this normal.. If my autobox has indeed died does anyone know of a good condition second hand …
