Evening all, One of my throttle bodies is constantly jamming because it is worn, so i bought a set of good second hand ones including linkage as spares, my 1st question is should i replace them as a set or can i just replace the one that's jamming? are they difficult change & set up? and finaly is there any modifications that can be done to the throttle bodies to help/increase performance. Cheers Jay

A guy at work has a claimed 470 fwbhp poopra. I said it will be around 420 rwbhp (with about 10% transmission loss) if he was lucky. He has got the hump saying the difference isn't that much and he should have at least 450 at the wheels. Is that right? I thought the very best cars gave away 10% and some can be closer to 20% What power is he likely to have at the wheels?

I've recently purchased a 95 TT 2/2 Auto from Japan. The acceleration from what I've read isn't as earth shattering as it potentially could be... Is there anything that can be done to change the gear ratio's and as such improve acceleration from 0-62? Without dropping names, Mclaren have done it with the podgy 500 SL, in the shape of the SLR, so I'm assuming something similar can be done to a Zed Auto? Anyone out there done this? Thanks

As above, in my travels across London. 1st one at about 7.15am on elephant & castle roundabout. not too many details as it was still dark. Jdm (i think) with round lambo style tail lights. Got stuck at lights two cars back so lost it. Second was a grey jap parked all day in Goodmayes (Granton road i think) high spoiler blingy wheels. Looked Good :) :) nick

Morning guys, I have been a skrimping and a saving so I can take my car to SWZ performance and get a manal conversion, or a replacement autobox as mine is totally knackered. The man. conversion im finding very tempting for a few reasons. - Easier to Sell - Easier to replace individual parts, rather than a whole autobox. My questions is this, Will I loose any features for swapping over to a manual conversion. Will Cruise Control still work etc on the conversion? how will it differ to a normal 300zxTT Manual, and does anyone have any pics of their conversion ? thanks in advance peeps.

Hey everyone just signed up there recently and have been on the look out for a Zed for a while now, anyway i've been looking at this one and would really appreciate any opinions on it. The guy is looking for £2,200 it has 113,000km on it. I've been told that the belts weren't done since the car came into the country (Aug 2005) but there is a sticker in the engine bay saying a major service was done at 78,000km (I know, means nothing!) No smoke from engine or turbo, at idle, on boost or on over run. Running standard 7 psi boost. No compression tests have been done. Ok basically do people reckon it's worth the money? Thanks in advance for any replies, I've had a look aro…

HELP!!! Looks damn near impossible to me!! Am looking to attempt this job tomorrow on the car. Has anyone removed them without taking off the plenum? I f so, how? I have had a go at the front of the hose on the drivers side and it has disintegrated. the clip at the back seems to be a PITA and I can't get a spanner round the PCV valve. Passenger side looks easier but not sure. Anyone done it? Andy

This realy made my blood boil, recieved it off my nephew tonite Please pass this on. It only takes a minute. The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month. On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if …

Left off tonight from work and 5 miles down the road i had to get greenflag to come and rescue me My NA was misfiring and bassicly i lost most power, kept nearly stalling it, it sounded like a diesel or a moped or somthing. I think i could smell some burning to but not sure, and i was going through quite a bit of petrol. The greenflag fella said with the burning smell it could be a coil on one of the cylinders? (im a engine newB) or somthing as simple as a spark plug. gonna have to get it looked at tommorow but any ideas? does this sound about right? also how much £££ would i be looking at ?
