I'm thinking of changing my stock uk-spec wheels (7.5J F, 8.5J R). Of all the wheels I've seen so far, I really like the Rays wheels fitted to the GT-pack 350Z. These are 9J F, 9.5J R. Now, I'm not too clued up on wheels, but will 9J's on the front affect the handling? And should I stick with the 350Z tyre sizes? Incidentally, I've just spent the whole evening cutting up little bits of 350Z brochures (the wheels) and pritstik'ing them on to photos of my zed! Call me old fashioned, but its more fun than photoshop :) Advice please. Dave =========================================== You will pay for your sins. (If you have already paid, …

I’ve had a look at other posts but I’m kinda wantin to know the most common way of: where do you lot mount your bovs? i have a set of blitz on mine and there such a tight fit, the guy who had this before me had to take fuse box cover off and they have been hitting the bonnet and slam panel aswell - do you think it could be best to mount these near the re-circulating valves/pipes near my air filter or could it be i havnt got the correct hard pipes? (because flanges fit bovs but cant move around where there placed) but just wondering. ideas on this one anyone? Also engine bay pics could be handy too cheers

As many of you know i've been having continuous overheating problems with my Z, thought this was cured the other day as the main leak (behind the back of the engine) Has been blocked up.. it was a metal heater pipe.. what we did was cut off the pipe and made a gasket to cover the hole and use some metal sealant to cure it, car did not have any leaks from underneath, however it has been leaking coolant again overnight... I've done a plenum bypass on the car.. and it still seems to leak.. was driving home from work today and the temperature gauge shot up and then it went back down again and stayed at normal.. I've noticed puddles of water under the car when going out to it …

The headlights on my import are pretty dim (a bit like me). What options are available for having them brighter? I don't want anything too ambitious like a complete headlight change can you get more powerful bulbs or something equally simple? Dave

If you won the lottery and could build a zed to your own spec....what would you do???? Im 16 and already have dreams for my zed! a SWB manual. Its got a veilside c1, wide arch kit with win gs west rear bumber widened to fit arches, all smoothed in(obviously), same spoiler as EDK83(not sure what it is) al resprayed in a baby blue, would have to have 600BHP at least and interior all retrimmed in a baby blue and dark blue leather! Watch this space! i will have that before i turn 40 so i have 24years 2 save and save. So what would you all do with your car??

Standard UK Zed runs on 225 Front and 245 rear with 7.5 and 8.5 wheel sizes I believe. Can I put 7.5 18" all round and just increase the tyre width on the back or do I really need to ensure front and back wheel sizes are different (7.5 and 8.5)?

Whats the tyre size for those? Ive been told there is only a 10mm allowance each way so.... 12" = 305mm That means either 295mm or 315mm doesnt it? What would going to 335 size on them do?

Just ordered the Black & Decker Rotary Tool from Argos for £24.95 inc home delivery. Retails normally for £59.99, comes with 87 accessories, and I believe just as good as a Dremel. If in stock and able to pick up, will only cost £19.99. A bargain me thinks

Hi all, bought my 300 last week and so far so good. Only one issue i was hoping someone might be able to help me with. The car came with a turbo timer but for some reason the guy i bought it off had disconnected it. Some of the wires are still connected but there are 3 which are part ofa 3pin connector that arent connected up to the female connector. I have had a look for the other connector it would go into but cant find it. Not sure if anyone will be able to help me but was hoping they might as it does my bloody head in sitting in the car for 1-2 minutes after driving it. Also the turbo timer is fitted on the left side of the steering wheel, but the wires a…

Hi guys Not an expert with cars tbh but im determined to get better with them :) . My Z's idling rough. From cold it does all the normal things then when oil pressure drops and its warm i can hear the engine revs fluttering from about 800rpm it drops revs slightly for a second or two and you see the engine block shake like it going to stall, it then picks up and returns to normal repeating this happens every 30seconds or so. From what its doing id guess its something that regulates the idle revs is playin up - but what that is im not sure. :smash: Could someone give me some pointers or suggestions of what to look for, i.e. sensors to check…

I just got a quote for a zed on a classic policy from Carole Nash £330 Fully comp..... Not bad - but they don't take into consideration my NCB, and I won't earn any. So if I keep my zed for 2 years, I will lose all my NCB? If I transfer over my insurance from my current car it will cost me £500 - but I get to keep and add to my 4 yrs NCB.. is that worth and extra £170/year? My last option is to transfer over my NCB to a mk4 Ford cortina shell I have in my garage. The car is strpped and is the basis for a westfield I am building at the moment... but insurance would cost would be next to nothing - I can keep my NCB going and get the cheap Classic policy. …
