Hi all, I'm relatively new to the forum, but I've been browsing for a while. I placed a deposit for Martins car (Pebkau) a while ago, unfortunately that had fallen through, but in the end it went to probably one of the youngest owners, circumstances changed when I had problems with my daily car. Since then I started to research about what to do with a zed when I eventually got one, I picked up a lot of small things along the way, sensors, hoses, just general parts and what not. My surprised me with a black manual zed he picked up, given the condition of the car wasn't all that great, he figured it will be a nice project for us. When we examined the car it was q…

Hi, Does anyone know the fuel filter flow and filtration spec's? I'm going to relocate the fuel filter and I'm looking at various different hi flow Syntec billet aluminium filters that range from 30 micron to 80 micron in filtration. As well as 6 to 10 bar of pressure? Thanks Dan

I bought the attached from a vender in the UK. I believe there to be an issue with them. Fittings from the hard lines and the lines on the body are of a male chamfer (both) meaning that the SS lines should both have female chamfers on them enabling them to locate and centre before being screwed in. The issue I have is that the lines I have been sent have BOTH on them, ie one male chamfer and one female chamfer. Of course having a male chamfer butted up against another make chamfer would mean that the ends would not align, even when screwed in together. Vender insists this is how they come and that they only come with one chamfer style. Before I go mad - hav…

hi guys, i've had a polished plenum & Throttle bodies here for a while waiting to fit to the car which is being done just after xmas hopefully, but i'm kind of reconsidering my options, how much upkeep does a polished plenum require? i don't want to be polishing it every few weeks to keep it shiny when i'd rather be out driving the car, i currently use belgom alu on polished bits and it tends to last quite well i can get away with polishing every few months but thats stainless bits not alloy. my other option is to get it powder coated which i'm guessing will be a lot easier to keep up together in which case i'd either go for shadow chrome or silver. any tips…

Ok, I'm thinking of removing and selling my front strut brace. I'm not a huge fan of the engine being covered by it, personally. What's it worth though? I don't really want to stick it on eBay so I'd rather get a decent idea of worth and sell it to a fellow member here :) Unless someone really wanted Candy Red mounts, it'd need repainting or powder coating.

Hey guys and gals, i don't really post much on here (more of a lurker all these years) and i'm mostly on the Integra DC5 forum. Thought i'd share our latest and long awaited purchase which my old man has wanted for quite some years....a LHD 300zx  :hyper: we've had two JDM 300zx twin turbo...albeit auto :censored: one got sent back home to Portugal to use as a holiday car but ended up being sat for about 5 years so we sold it on two years ago. The one we still have here in the UK gets used on weekend mostly First Zed; Second Zed; Long awaited purchase; 1990 Euro spec (Portuguese) Twin Turbo 2+2 Targa and most importantly...Manual :d…

Interesting short read: http://www.revotechnik.com/support/technical/rolling-roads-explained So basically peak figures are just pub talk and as I have always advocated how a car drives on the road is more important. There are so many variables it is near impossible to repeat accurately power runs from one day to another, let alone from two identical cars at the same time and this is those big tuning companies using high end expensive kit that try and address the short comings in rolling road shoot out days, it is no wonder low end cheap systems with basic set ups are pretty much a waste of time, be careful guys most of the print outs seems to be made of snake…

My names Tom and I have an addiction... Ive bought another one... god help me, my black one isnt even finished yet! My "new" one is a red UK Twin Turbo model. Its been well looked after until the guy I just bought it off had it. It done 80K and the cosmetically its very good, mechanically (apart from brakes from where its been sitting) its good. Structurally is a bit of another story... It does have rust, part for the passenger sill is rusty, most of the drivers sill is rusty and the offside rear arch has a hole big enough for my fist... in fact it might have been my fist that made it! A friend and I went up to Yorkshire to collect it yesterday and boy was it a …

Following on from a thread I've been reading through, I'm curious what everyone thinks looks better, a UK or a JAP rear bumper. The only differences as far as I'm aware are the rear fogs and long number plate in the UK. I'm curious on people's though for my black Zed as I might be able to get a rear bumper for very cheap if I want one, but I'm not sure

Like any old girl you pick up, she's going to have some issues from the past right? I have browsed before i joined and i have read but i wanted some feedback on my efforts so far... My new Z is an '89 import, NA and running large exhausts on the rear, split rims and a K&N. Upon purchasing the Z i was pleased, i ran her for a good 10 miles before handing over the cash, unbeknownst to me, the problems existed later. Up around the 80mph mark on the motorway home i noticed a slight thump (speed related) and assumed it was perhaps a bearing (collapsed or worn). After some more thought, i realised it to be more likely the prop shaft. I have read some pages online…

As per the pic my Targa top has a scratch and there's now slight surface rust. I plan to just spray into it for the moment, but do I need to address such a small amount of rust first?

What started off as a heater hose replacement has ended up with a few other bits getting looked at.Took the air filters out. Dont think they have been out before. Car has done 45k genuine. Worth replacing with aftermarket or are straight replacements just as good? 91 TT auto.

Hi, does anyone know the best way to remove the plastic trims from the roof, targa, screen sections? I'm thinking of stripping the coating off them and having then powder coated. Is it possible to remove them without breaking the clips? And how do they fit? I've been told they just clip on but I'm sure I'll manage to break something if advice isn't sourced from the knowledgeable first.. Any help much appreciated.

I have acquired a spare MAF and was just wondering what the best way to "test" it would be? My thought would be to just swap it with my current MAF and see if the Zed works the same. I thought I would gauge thought on here before I do this just in case I shouldn't! My plan is to sell the MAF but I don't want to sell one that does not work. Any thoughts appreciated.

Hey brit buddies:) I´ve just replaced all my spark plugs today switching from bosch to NGK Iridium IX, last ones had like 5 years eventhough I don´t use the Z for a daily ride, perhaps once a month it goes out. I spoke to a friend who works at Nissan dealer in Osaka and he strongly recommended me these NGK. So far today when I started the egine I did noticed inmediately a nice smoother start and my first doubt was when I got the baby riding..well to my surprise and nice I did noticed a different ride much more smoother and fast take off. Before it kind a had this feeling like when a horse wants to stumble and he kept jumping. Would love to hear reviews of ya´ll r…

As some of you know this is the arse end of my car, so my question is should I change it to a different style and if so what do you think would be the best style to change to? When I got the car nearly 10 years ago now, I thought it looked good... But there again 10 years ago the wife's arse looked good! And it's maybe time for a change on both counts...lol,so any ideas OR would you keep it as is...the monza look must be quite rare now yes?
