Hi all, Does the TT pump raise the fuel pressure more than 6Bar at any time? Running 14- 15PSI of boost on a pretty much stock engine. Thanks Dan

Well after many years of trying to get one, I finally laid my hands on a genuine vintage Nissan dealership sign. To say I'm chuffed to bits is an understatement! The 20+ year old sign measures 120cm by 85cm and will take pride of place on the garage wall above the car. It will look amazing! Here is a somewhat larger one of the same design used at the US launch in Chicago back in 1989. That one was backlight and I will do the same.

Ok a little light reading for Thursday, we all know prevention is the best way forward with service items and but many times those little warnings are too subtle or just missed as little annoyances or the character of the car and the 300zx brakes is a case in point. So two points, the master cyliner and the front calipers these are the two area`s where most problems occur in the breaking system and are often overlooked as the cause at the time, of course ensuring no air is in teh system is a biggy too. So we will deal with the master cyliner in this thread and the calipers in the next one, the bmc is so easy to service ( kit part number shown in picture for Tw…

I need to upgrade my battered tweed interior to leather, and wondering how easy is it to DIY with purchasing the kits, there are several companies in the US / Canada supplying kits, not neccassary any cheaper than getting it done by upholsterer here, but quality is not necessarily assured. If I do go done a DIY route, how easy / difficult is it to remove the door panels, dash board bits etc. Also removing the tweed from the seats, panels and gluing leather bits etc. Any tips and experiences good or bad will be appreciated.

The time is approaching that I need to replace my tyres.... (the tyres on at the moment came with the wheels I purchased last month) The wheels are the 18" staggered ones from a 350z ( I believe they are the touring model?) My question is, what would be the best tyre size to replace the current 225 45 18 at the front and 245 45 18 at he rear? I feel that the profile is too big at the mo and was thinking maybe either 40 or 35 all round? If so, would that cause any issues with the wheels? also, the fronts currently look to have a little stretch on them and whereas the rears don't? In my opinion the fronts look a little nicer but I'll open it up to suggestions....…

As the engine is back together and in the car, can it be replaced without removing the retainer it sits in? I really don't want to be disturbing the seal around the sump if I can help it.

I've fitted a remapped ecu. So today I thought I'd try upping the boost, money's a little tight this month so as an experiment I got a pair of 1mm mig welding tips to see what the difference was. Expecting 14psi. Even from the first pull I thought this doesn't feel any different, looking at the gauge I saw the normal 9psi. What the hells that all about? I don't have the stock boost solenoids anymore so I can't even go into the 7psi safety boost. I did a boost leak check last weekend in preparation and there wasn't any noticeable leaks. Suggestions?

Hi all, I'm relatively new to the forum, but I've been browsing for a while. I placed a deposit for Martins car (Pebkau) a while ago, unfortunately that had fallen through, but in the end it went to probably one of the youngest owners, circumstances changed when I had problems with my daily car. Since then I started to research about what to do with a zed when I eventually got one, I picked up a lot of small things along the way, sensors, hoses, just general parts and what not. My surprised me with a black manual zed he picked up, given the condition of the car wasn't all that great, he figured it will be a nice project for us. When we examined the car it was q…

Hi, Does anyone know the fuel filter flow and filtration spec's? I'm going to relocate the fuel filter and I'm looking at various different hi flow Syntec billet aluminium filters that range from 30 micron to 80 micron in filtration. As well as 6 to 10 bar of pressure? Thanks Dan

  17. I bought the attached from a vender in the UK. I believe there to be an issue with them. Fittings from the hard lines and the lines on the body are of a male chamfer (both) meaning that the SS lines should both have female chamfers on them enabling them to locate and centre before being screwed in. The issue I have is that the lines I have been sent have BOTH on them, ie one male chamfer and one female chamfer. Of course having a male chamfer butted up against another make chamfer would mean that the ends would not align, even when screwed in together. Vender insists this is how they come and that they only come with one chamfer style. Before I go mad - hav…

hi guys, i've had a polished plenum & Throttle bodies here for a while waiting to fit to the car which is being done just after xmas hopefully, but i'm kind of reconsidering my options, how much upkeep does a polished plenum require? i don't want to be polishing it every few weeks to keep it shiny when i'd rather be out driving the car, i currently use belgom alu on polished bits and it tends to last quite well i can get away with polishing every few months but thats stainless bits not alloy. my other option is to get it powder coated which i'm guessing will be a lot easier to keep up together in which case i'd either go for shadow chrome or silver. any tips…

Ok, I'm thinking of removing and selling my front strut brace. I'm not a huge fan of the engine being covered by it, personally. What's it worth though? I don't really want to stick it on eBay so I'd rather get a decent idea of worth and sell it to a fellow member here :) Unless someone really wanted Candy Red mounts, it'd need repainting or powder coating.
