one of my front wheels is looking in, when lokin at the wheel from the front its looks in at the top, also noticed my tyre has wore on the inside (it may be catching on something), also noticed a knocking sound on full left hand down lock any ideas

Hello all Had a go at fitting my new gauges today with Jimmy (cheers bud!) and found that the zcentre triple pillar pod doesn't seem to have any way of attaching it to the A-pillar :confused: There is a screw hole near the top but nothing to screw into on the pillar. I know a few peple on here have the same/similar pods so was wondering what you all did to fix it in place? Thanks in advance

When I test drove the car, I commented on how light the power steering was.. I didn't realise that it was 'Too' light.. Suddenly it goes hard again for a few days (which feels..normal?), maybe, then light, for a few hours/days, I've found when its 'light' if i break heavy, the next turn, its hard again.. Is this a common problem or does anyone know about it? Also is it dangerous? - other than being too light, which I'm kinda happy with, felt really nice - but is anything going to break on me suddenly? Where I light, I mean I could turn the wheel all the way round with 1 finger.. When I say heavy, I have to put a fair bit of effort in to turn …

Just had a quote of performance direct (chaucer) for fully comp on my jap import TT zed £126 Have contacted the company direct to make sure wasnt a mistake and it isnt! I am 40 yr old with a clean licence and no claims in the last 5 years. ive got no ncb but have had a company car for nearly 8 years with no claims. cover is for max 5000 miles a year and a £300 excess Paul.

I have recently fitted an upgraded rad cap with a pressure release of 1.3 bar. I am losing coolant and when the engine stops and all is quite, I can hear a hissing and spitting right at the back of the plenum. I can see 2 large hoses and have tightened the clamps but ther seems to be somthing that I cannot see but I can hear hissing and spiting and it sound like drop of water hitting something and then fizzing (evaporating). Is this a common problem and more to the point, is it an easy fix? I could go back to the old cap but that seemms pointless!! Thank you in advance, Andy

I think we should have a thread with a list of the common things zed's fail the MOT on so we know what to check. Excess Play in rear HiCas Inner and Outer arms. Excessive Corrosion of Inner and Outer rear Sills (Due mainly to blocked Targa Drainage Channels) Excessive Corrosion of Rear Brake Pipe the run up over the rear Sub Frame Rear Fog Lights in a j-spec (grey area with some mot people failing when its in where the inner brake lights are) any more?

As above I bought some of these to add to my blingy bits look:)I think they are great and look well cool....:dance:They light up white at night as Dave wired them to my headlights. Anyne got dual pop ? If so what filters you running. I've been reading up on ways to resolve low rev turbulance and hard braking decelleration stalling. which apparently is caused by the ram air into the induction. This is usually the case when the twin pop takes the air head on from the inlets of the front bumper. The oil leak is getting worse and its really gonna need sorting soon. I'm leaking oil from the main rear seal. Needs changing. Do i need to pull the gearbox and all its wiring etc/ prop shaft off to get the thing off. And is there a special tool needed as its got a splined shaft that goes into the torque convertor coming from the engine. Is that removable so i can get a bearing puller on it??? I'll budget 2-3 days to do it, gearbox only went on in feb so no olts should be siezed etc

Hi all, I bought my auto 300zxTT about 6 months ago on ebay, which upto a few months ago was running OK. I noticed a noise about 3 months ago coming from the O/S of the car, which sounded like a toned down version of a kettle boiling, which came every now and them. The noise graduately got louder and sounded like it was coming from just behind the front wing & door. I checked to make sure that it was not the head gasket or any of the water system, which seems fine. I was in the process of having the car tested when she decieded to throw a wobble big time. I was on the way to work when she dropped the revs down to around 2500RPM and no more. All acceleration dispapeare…

I was thinking about putting together a 1/4 , BHP and track leaderboards. I used to mod the dyno section of this forum, but let it slip 3 years ago when my car went off the road for much longer period of time that I thought it would. Since then the section is a little messy and I though tit would be good to put a few things back in the lime light. After all the 300zx is a performance car so lets see how well we can get it to perfrom. Obviously there's always going to be a grey area around timings, what dyno was used etc, but if people try not to take it too seriously and not b|tch about other people too much then it should be a nice to have. Ok, im looking at getting a steering wheel of someone. I was chatting with them yesterday and was informed that i would loose my hicas etc on removal of the old wheel. I was told you can get a boss (hub) adaption so i can keep it. So my questions are A, is it worth the hassle of buying a hicas keeping boss?? B, If it is where can i get one from?? C, How many people have sacked their hicas?? Cheers

Hi all, could anyone out there give me any ideas. Ive just bought a 300zx non turbo of the dreaded ebay and now i have it home it wont run quite right. Car will start with a touch on the acc pedel and theres no smoke out of exhaust at all But ticks over very lumby, then dies when reves fall, n when driving theres very little power only makes about 40mph. Any ideas where to start looking? Coil packs etc? Many thanks for any help. Chris

very happy ATM, the teins have arived in very good condition, problem is, i aint gonna get them fitted till next weekend end BOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! so im a happy bunny ATM i didnt get the spanner with them to adjust them, is there a way of doing this without it might just fork out and get it set up proerly by http://www.robershawracing.co.uk they do the corner balancing business and get all my tracking done at the same time wuwhoooooooooo
