Any ideas i have a knocking noise coming from the rear sounds like hatch rattle ,but hatch seems held down fine checked shocks and bushes all ok .It only makes a clonking noise over bad road surfaces any help thanks.

Hi .. Its not often a good 300zx turns up on my doorstep for sale, so i may pop along and have a look at this car ... just curious as to what some of you think of the price tag ? ... I know its worth what im prepared to pay and all that but i just want to double check that its not grossly over priced .... although it is a low mileage .... the garage says it has fully documented history from Japan ... It is a manaul box and aswell as the tracker it has a CAT1 alarm, the guy says it has traction control but i was'nt aware that any model 300zx had traction control ??? ... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/645355.htm Much appriciated ... ;)

Hi all, Been getting the car going again after along time garaged, when braking the car starts to shake really bad, I have uprated tension rods so it cannot be the tension rod bushes :confused: Would it warped discs?

Feels like it's coming from up behind the dash, so wondering if there's a slight leak from the servo? It's not prevalent during light braking, but moderate to hard braking at low speed, it can be heard. The brakes and clutch feel fine, very good infact for stock brakes and master cylinder. Am I correct in thinking it may be a seal from the servo and air is leaking slightly under pressure? If so, is there a fix for it?

this is how i did it, cut the two pipes, got a piece of 8mil copper pipe, nipped an olive on one end as it is a larger diamiter pipe, couple of jubilee clips and hey presto, sorted till i remove and change the pas pot and power steering pump

Can anyone tell me if Nissan did away with the abs unit bleed nipples on the Z from 1994 on wards, and would the bleeding be the same as the manual apart from the abs unit. cheers Paul

Yes, my car left the garage and went all the way to work today ! Literally about the 3rd time it's been driven this year !!!! It's also filthy dirty due to sawdust/crap from the garage and will have to go to the car wash on the way home.

Its been nearly three months with no zed, Z Tech still have it, fed up of driving around in a faded red 1.4 k reg Astra with no power steering and no poke, I so want it back as its my everyday car, will just have to be patient, it will be worth it in the end, I hope.

bloody car, its getting to me today. i had the age old problem of the hoses from the rear of the engine to the bulkhead (for the heater matrix) splitting over the past fortnight. bought some new ones, fitted them and no leaks at all, all was resolved. took it into work this morning, and again the ******* is leaking - i cant see the leak (as its more steam, than water) coming from the rear centre of the engine bay. All i can see is the the water trickling on the road. its bleeding to death :( I know the question is vary vague as I cant truly investrigate untill i get her home, but is it likely that i have another leak from the rear centre of the engine bay (…

Hi there everyone, I know this subject always throws open "to do or not to do" debate, but I have a set in the boot and am going to fit them. I bought a set of Blitz valves on hard pipes but they came with no instructions. I have found a step by step guide online but would like someone who knows more than me to check if its ok. Morning! When my Z is cold the engine judders unless you rev it a bit higher to 2500 revs and seems a bit hesitent when you put your foot down but as soon as it walmed up 5 mins into the jurney its fine. I thought it may just need the intake manifolds cleaning out with carb cleaner as they are prob rather gunked up..................?

Going to fit an eletronic fuel press gauge 2mow. The sender is the same type as the aftermarket oil pressure ones you get with the auto gauges. Can i T and plumb this in just after the fuel filter or just after the fpr? and what do you suppose i should use to connect the 1/8 thread to the fuel flow? seems a bit odd!!! Thanks in advance.
