Hi guys just a few wee ?,will a 1991 n/a auto engine fit straight into a 1992 n/a auto. And i have notice that my car will not rev over 5500 when driven,is this due to the fact that its a auto,or is it because it has a restriter on it or is there another reason.

Had a search through the topics and there is a lot of mention of leaking fuel lines or the O2 sensor but my problem seems to be straight suction of exhaust fumes in from the back when the window is down. Strangely (or possibly not) this seems to have started up after I had a spot of how's-your-father with a tree and had to have some panel beating done to the right rear above the wheel. Also installed a new aerial and right rear light cluster. Are the exhaust fumes coming in through (a) the seal between the hatch and the body, (b) the light cluster, © the hole where the aerial exits (I see there is no o-ring there), (d) all of the above or (e) somewhere else? …

Hi all, I've got the old error 34, although I haven't yet found whether it is the sensor (most likely) or the loom after it, I was wondering which is the best route to go down, re-location or by-pass... Obviously I would want to re-locate it or replace, but I have heard that alot of aftermarket ECU's don't have safety maps, I have a Mines ECU, is it worth shelling out for a dett sensor, or would bypassing it be just as good? It is bypassed at the moment, but only temporarily, as I've just finished the re-build, so wanted her to start up proper etc. The other thing is, my (stock) boost gauge isn't working, and haven't ever driven one of these before, cannot tell if it…

Hi all.. Tried to start my imported 1990 non turbo 300zx tt on Sunday but it would not fire, the engine just turned over. Car was running fine and the only thing I did on Saturday was to change the dipped headlight bulbs, but 1 had blown again come Sunday! Got roadside assistance out who found there was no spark from the plugs so said it was an electric problem, possibly a sensor issue but also said although unlikely, the blown bulb could have upset the immobiliser?? Has anyone else had this kinda trouble or knows where I should go to get the car looked at? I'm from St Albans by the way and any help you be most greatfully recieved!! Toby.

Ever since i fitted the rps max clutch im having this strange problem. Once the car is warm and has been driven for a while the biting point raises by about 2 inches. Once the car has cooled down again the biting point is back to the bottom? Now ive fitted the group buy braided clutch line and bled the system. No problem!! I noticed that the slave cylinder is leaking very slightly would this contribute to the problem? Just seems a bit strange as to why the biting point would rise so much after its warm? p.s im using dot 5.1 maybe this is the prob???......:( Anyone ever had this problem b4?

My SWB slicktop has trims at the edge of the roof (running length ways along the car). These run into the windscreen line as a piece of trim. They seem to be ally with some kind of rubberised black coating on them. The black has started to chip away in a couple of places. This will be easy enough to touch up if need be but I wondered if they can be polished and if anyone had done it? Cheers Mike

This morning my when i woke up my girlfriend told me my lights were on on my 300zx, i knew i turned them off last night but i went to check, when i got outside my lights werent on!! the light switch was in the off position, however my battery was flat, i decided to jump it off our other car, as soon as i connected the jump leads, my lights came on even though the light switch was in the off position! i turned the switch to 'on' then 'off' again and the lights went out! started the car and left it to tick over for 10 mins, however when i got home from work and tried to start the car again it was flat ( which i half expected anyway ) so now ive put the battery on charge ove…

bonjourna, picked up auto express's car yesterday, very happy with the drive its got a solid engine, few bits and bobs need doing to the bodywork which I'm gonna crack on with.. I was thinking though as the car is red, do you reckon the top half would look nice black? i.e. the tailgate, spoiler and windscreen pillars. I love black and red and I think I may have seen this combo on another car and it looked wkd, waddya reckon.. possible carbon fibre bonnet as well to top it all off..

First video I managed to get. This is after initial running to get everything up to temp, check for leaks etc. and do some very, very basic mapping to at least let it rev a bit without stalling. Still some big flatspots even with no load but that'll all get sorted soon. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ncxR7xNcSfI Cheers to Rob (dunkzxtt) for helping out today too :duffer:
