On the way home from work just now, a fooking deer jumped out of the forest in front of me. I was doing about 60 but braked hard and, whilst I still hit the bloody thing, at least I shaved my speed down to about 35.... .....The deer ran back into the woods but when I got home, I noticed that my NS headlamp has been pushed back about an inch - snapping the mounting brackets completely. The gap at the front of the NSF wing has widened by about 5mm - but that is due to the headlamp being forced back. It looks like it will revert to the normal position once the head lamp is replaced; and luckily there is no paint damage save for a very small scuff on the front bumper whi…

Finally got round to getting my CBT last Friday. Got myself this to get used to being on the road and to gain some valuable time on two wheels before I do my Mod1 and Mod2. It's a Yamaha YBR125 just like most CBT schools use. It'll do me for now :D Any advice or tips from some of you experienced riders greatly appreciated :th: Daffy.

Its back:angry:Had to dig a track out of the yard this morning to get the BM onto the main road then endure 90 mins of slow and slippery driving to get to work. Then finished work and started of to drive home to find the main road into Belfast from Bangor was closed due to a bomb alert so another big queue as we were diverted. Finally got home to find the track I dug out filled up again with fresh snow and got the car half onto the drive way and half on the pavement so out with the snow shovel again to get the car of the pavement and just onto the drive were it now sits abandoned. God I hate snow but at least its Friday:punk:

My 14 year old daughter is turning into a bit of a petrolhead and has agreed to go on a road trip with me over the August Bank Holiday. Problem is where to go, any ideas ? We live in Geddington, Northamptonshire and plan to go Friday and come back on Monday. One possibility is to go to Northern France to see the war memorials (she recently went to Belgium to see the trenches and really enjoyed it) but not sure I of how expensive that would be yet.

Well travelled over 130miles to do a bit of caravanning with partner and kids. I know it's freezing but couldn't change the date. We are staying at Haven and was wondering what is there to do with kids 3 and 5 yrs old whilst weather is poor. I know some of you guys live down here so any ideas.

We've been contemplating for a while now whether to get our staffy a friend, my mate said she knew of a woman that was looking for a new home for her 5 month old puppy staff, so made the relevant calls went and collected her, brought her home Boss loves her to bits altho she was petrified of him to begin with. Only one problem she's deaf! so far have taught her to sit using hand signals long road ahead but she is worth it

Ah it seems never ending with domestic questions! I have a Vaillant ecotec Pro 28 which I had installed at the end of 2011. Up to now its been perfect never a bother etc. However its developed a weird issue today. Just to clarify, heating and hot water worked perfectly on Monday, I went away for work until Wednesday night. No need for hot water until the Morning but the heating was fine on wednesday. Turn the shower on this morning, Stone cold its a thermostatic one run from the boiler, so I checked a hot tap in the bathroom, also stone cold However the heating was working completly fine. I did take a quick look at it and it was almost as if it was si…

Has anyone ever used this before. Refurbing some wheels and want to spray the centre caps chrome but don't want it to look cheap so might get it done professionally instead. Read some reviews about halfords chrome paint and they say it scratches really easily. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrome-Spray-Paint-high-quality-made-in-UK-not-silver-/180687170173?pt=UK_Crafts_DrawingSupplies_EH&hash=item2a11cb6a7d

Long shot, but there's such an eclectic mix of talented and helpful folk on here, might as well ask :) I'm after an obsolete voltage regulator, number is : SKP06N60, also a data sheet here : http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/infineon/1-skb06n60.pdf I'm after either the original, or an equivalent, I can buy one, but I'm looking at 20 - 25 quid for a little voltage reg, and I'm fixing something for a mate, anyone any ideas? Cheers, Tudor.

This is the first time the 430 has been driven and apart from a couple of niggles,I'm happy how it drives. First one was smoke coming from the dash vents!!-this turned out to be the blower motor seized up! Also she's running hot, could just be air-locked from when I fitted the new Radiator.Overall a nice drive, not harsh or 'crashy' surprising when it's running 19'' wheels and stiffer springs. Any how enough waffle, this is what I wanted Today-Pics!! Hood down........
