I noticed you can get a 2001 CL500 for £15K or there abouts. I don't have £15K to spend on a car but I'm always planning ahead. Anyone know if they're any good? 5 litre v8 and they look nice to me. I know Mercades have had issues of late so maybe they're expensive problems?

What ive done so far: Changed the spark plugs. Changed the coil connectors - all the plastic bits were broken. Took the PTU off and cleaned all the pins - started the car and it sounded fine, shortly after the missfiring started. Just done an ECU diagnostic - got the code 55 so no faults Surely it cant be the cas as the ECU showed no faults? Im thinking its the coils, what does everyone else think?

How cool is my birthday card…. This is the birthday card my misses had made for me. It’s only got my car on it. It was made by a lady who makes custom cards in the village where I live; she’s a really nice woman and all the money she makes goes to cancer research. She does it as a hobby and makes two a day (not bad for a hobby). I think she’s done an amazing job, the cars made up out of layers which give a really good 3D effect. Paul

Happy birthday m8y, I really do hope your having it off today :x: ooops, let me rephrase that...I hope your having the day off :wack: See you later :duffer: Hoprfully I can cast my eyes over the new Rainbow Zed :) I think what pauls up to is very sneeky.... He knows that darker zeds are extremely fast so hes done this amazing paint job that has all the colours of the rainbow in it :D .....now I think what he's done is very clever because he now knows that he must have the fastest Zed colourwise now......WRONG All that paint's just gonna slow it down again :wack: Mine being a single colour, less weight etc etc, will obviously …

My missus is on her way to Southampton mate (sorry I didn't realise until this morning), she has your heater matrix, collant adapter, belts, and a spare oil filter with her. Can you get in touch so I can give you her mobile and you can then meet her. She's seeing a client in Chilworth so quite close. I've gave her your address but the only number I had was your landline and not your mobile. If anyone has rodders mobile could you let me know. Thanks Dave

Well should have got my car back for good yesterday after I spent the last 2 days rebuilding all the bits and bats for him. I went home at about 3 and said I would come back in a couple of hours after it had been buffed up. Turned up at half 4 and about 4 of them where stood there looking at it, I thought they looked pee'd off but turns out that it has been sprayed and is Patchy. Well brought it home to store and its going back in in 3weeks time as he going on holiday! What a bummer! I never asked for the grills to be sprayed and why he cut a hole like that near the towing eye?? :wack: Not bad though? Shame I have to reverse into the gara…

A friend of mine, Steve from Manchester has been looking to purchase a 300ZX and from what I have read on the site in the past, when he asked my advice, I told him to have a compression test done before parting with his money. Anyway he has been to the garage today and he watched them as they did a dry test on the front 4 cylinders that were easy to get to, all figures were almost identical at just over 130. He phoned me up and I did a quick search on the forum which suggested the figures were a bit low. So I told him he needed a wet test (with oil). They did this and the figures were unchanged. This is totally beyong my knowledge, I assumed that if oil was added the …

I have bought all the kit from a low mileage 1994 to do a manual conversion and even got a garage in Stoke-on-Trent lined up to do it. All in I thought it was quite reasonable at £950 fitted. Now the problem, my other half, who has taken to driving it recently, as I have sold her Volvo T5 Convertible, says she does not want it manual! She likes the auto. Now not sure if I should go on ahead (and never hear the last of it) or sell the kit on, or possibly the whole job on (if someone is fairly near Stoke-on-Trent) Is there generally a demand for the kit if I ended up reselling?
