I was told by a client today that using supermarket fuel is not recommended as it "watered" down as he put it - possibly to keep costs down. Is there some truth to this? I only use Tesco super as this is the only 99RON fuel around where I live for the Zed, but if there is more to this, then maybe I need to change. He apparently was told this by a dealership, as the supermarket fuel can cause issues with catalytic converters and other post-combustion parts. Anyone shed any thoughts on this? Greg

So now another DJ - Neil (Dr) Fox has been arrested on historical sex offence charges..... Seriously, when is this going to end? I fully appreciate that any sex offence is abhorrent; but whether or not he "did" what he has been accused of, in different times, we had different tolerance levels and different degrees of what was and was not acceptable behaviour. Besides, in all honesty, unless the accused actually admits his crime, then in the absence of hard and undisputed evidence, surely any jury must acquit on the grounds of "reasonable doubt" In most incidences, after 20 or more years, it's just a case of "he said, she said" IMO there should be a statute …

Found this on piston heads. Shows what people traded in to get crushed in 2009 for the scrappage scheme. Look in the list and see if there are some cars you think shouldnt have been scrapped. 13 300zxs are in there, among audi quattros, lanci delta, a skyline GTR... http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=30915

We had a bench in remembrance of the wifes mum,who was killed four years ago by a careless driver. Was needing a wee spruce up, so got tore in, and my mate made this plaque for us. We could have went for an old fashioned brass one, but, well, the auld yin was a law unto herself. Stainless steel, etched, gloss black, signwritten and lacquered. I reckon she would have approved ? The wife has been telling me the new owners of a house have a McClaren that was parked in the street. "Don't be daft" I said "Who would park a McClaren in the street opposite a primary school". Well I went for a walk around there today and look what was parked just off the road, a very nice McClaren 12C Coupe

Driving along a tight single lane road this morning (as I do every morning) I was confronted by an over-sized truck coming the other way, in the darkness of the tree canopy, with no lights on.... Sure enough, it's a pain in the arse itself - as the truck was clearly too big to use this road (signs at either end) - but at least he was driving considerately and pulled to the side in effort to let me pass. However, there was no way I'd have passed without scraping the side of my car against the bushes to my left - so not an option for me! Instead, remembering there was a driveway a few yards back, I reversed toward it. Only to find out the hard way, that the f***in…

Now that the house is more or less sorted I have started on the Garage. Been at it for a few weeks now and its slowly taking shape. Started of with it full of furniture and boxes. No were for this slidrobe so it has to stay in the garage. Next was the high work bench made from wood and flooring I had left over.

(This is a serious comment or questioning, it's supposed to be a bit if stupidity) So if Scotland vote for independence that will leave the United Kingdom as England and Wales, obviously part of Ireland as well is that still controversial as well? So basically are the only countries in the UK that want to be part if it England and Wales? Only 20 people live in Wales, I've been there, some cities but mostly mountains. So are we on the verge of being the United Kingdom of one? Will we have to revert to being just plain English? That could be interesting seeing as it's public opinion that the St Geogres Flag is the EDL logo. Also considering I'm about 40% Scottish can I ge…

Recently my brother purchased a Super charger from Australia for his 3.0r Legacy. Just over a week ago his engine seized, over course there was lots of leg pulling about how he must have fitted the SC unit incorrectly or something similar. Anyway having just hot off the phone to him I was amazed to hear what has caused his engine to seize up. Now I have heard of CATS collapsing, but when my brothers collapsed the engine sucked up the debris and it passed through the EGR valve and end up against the exhaust valves! No wonder the engine was seized solid. Full story below http://www.uklegacy.com/forums/index.php/topic/132525-project-raptor/page__st__420 Need…

first of the north east harrier league races today, goes all the way through the winter, did 1.8 miles as part of a relay team today, done it in 12:50, very hard work as i had a quite a few banks to run up (more like fookin everest lol) some of the very fast lads were doing it in 8-9 and 10 mins, even had a stream to jump across, was hard work but loved it think everyone should try and run in a group, get involved in running and racing, its awesome and will help you live longer lol

Spotted this today whilst in the garden, it circled for about 10 minutes before landing, promptly followed by a modern bomber and two fighter jets, they were gone before I could see much of them. Then it came vac and got some pics. And just to add to it, I have to admit I had to look up what on earth the noisy thing was. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-29163180
