General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Well you MAY NOT have noticed but I haven't been on here much recently!!! I've more or less decided that within the next 6 months we're going to sell the ZX and Supra, buy an Esprit and a family car - probably an older Jag. So at the moment most of my cyber time is searching for info on Esprits and on the Lotus Esprit section of PistonHeads. I'm still enjoying the Zx, weather permitting, but by the time I'll be ready to change I'll have had the ZX for nearly 4 years - that's along innings for me with one car. So hopefully my beloved Zeddie will be up for sale in the months ahead!!! CU, Geoff.

Just wondering if our European cousins got Z's when Nissan was actually selling them over here ? I can't ever remember seeing a left hooker in the UK. Surely someone would have brought one in. Did they all get US spec left hookers ? Or wouldn't that work in Europe with various emmissions and other regs ? Mark

Just been to st helens nissan for a headlight bulb for the wifes fairlady there asking £26 for one bulb.fork that went to halfords got two bulb for £16 and just put a new earth onto it ,how easy is that . £26 for a forking bulb wez :duffer:

Well recently I've started to get the itch for a change from the Zed - I've had it for over 3 years. This always happens with me and cars, and 3 years has been a good innings. I've always had a hankering for a Lotus Esprit but their prices were beyond me. From time to time when I thought I'd go for it - I was then worried about the maintenance costs! So the other week I was discussing with my wife that with all the cars we had, the Zed,(mine) the Supra (hers) and the Nissan pick-up, there wasn't a family type car between us - something we occasionally need. Add to this we don't use the Zed or Supra for everyday use. Also the wife was intending to spend around 6…

Went down to Ryan's yesterday for a timing and ConZult check and to put some new spark plugs in, as I'm getting detting at high revs. Cheers very much for your day mate :) Top man! :bow: Matt (MTL) was there too so we'll call it the southwest-ish auto owners meet :D The timing check showed my timing to be at 16o, so we knocked it back to 14. Where do credit card companies get their exchange rates from? I mean at the moment it is $1.85 to the £. I buy something parts from there and the exchange rate on my credit card is $1.77 to the £. It means that everything is about 4-5% higher. Why do CC companies have their own exchange rate?

Just been lent a Race Tech AP22. What a neat little gadget, been having fun pulling a veriaty of G's or .G's in various directions. I managed with a smoking clutch (cause of crap pull away), tons of wheelspin and letting of the gas anyway a 16.4 quarter LOL!! Anyone else got one of these and how accurate are they? I will be attempting a more accurate run when the weather clears up, flippin ESSEX rain :x:
